Brilliant mod job buddy, the tail lamp looks class apart. Your car is surely going to be the centre of attraction at the VW A.S.S. I am now waiting for the grill job.

I still not decided if I should go for GTI grill.

I would recommend anyone to buy these tail lights. Not that hard to mod after all.

Can you post a picture with the reverse light and rear fog lamps switched on? I simply love the look of those rear tail lamps. Simply out of this world.

I was just wondering. Instead of putting a red tint on the fog lamp bulb, why didn't you put the tint on the fog lamp lens? Just curious.

I think putting a tint on a bulb is cheaper, faster, easier. Moreover you can simply wrap red gelatin paper and seal with fevi-quik. The loose gelatin will fuse together due to bulb's heat giving a perfect red illumination.

Do you plan to order mate? I will post few pics soon.

Yes I do plan on ordering a pair. [:)] And please. I know many people have asked you again and again but can you please let us know how heavy were those sexy tail lamps on your pocket? Please. Including the customs and installation charges. So that we can get a rough idea as to how much the entire mod will cost. Pretty please? [embarass]

Item Cost + Shipping: $324 or ₹17240
Custom duty: ₹541 (May be slightly higher for you)
Installation Charge + 2 bolts: ₹100 (May be slightly higher depending on mechanic's mood)

Total: 17240 + 541 + 100 = ₹17881

Here is a pic which shows reverse and fog lights in action after the mod.

My phone is not DSLR to capture low light image but it's the best I could get

Left is white for reverse and right is the red tinted bulb for fog.

They would look killer on red
It was cheaper for me and since this year they have increased the price by $20. But rupee has appreciated. So you are paying 400-500 rupees extra.

What you guys think. Should I order GTI grill? I am not sure of that GTI badge. I am against labelling my car something which it is not.

There is also a non GTI grill EURO version which has 1 pane instead of 2. Even that would differentiate the car a bit.
