Good news is the lights have cleared the customs. Don't know the charge yet. Finally!!

Getting some excellent FE
Highway 21.1 (Without AC)
City 13-14 (With AC)

Average FE using tank full method is 15 kmpl.
Still a new driver so figures may improve.

Did you calculate FE using tank-to-tank method or is it the FE shown by the MID? Whatever it is, that is pretty good FE. My city FE was 15.7 kmpl (with 100% A.C) when I checked yesterday because of the heavy traffic I face while going to and coming back from college. I calculated using the tank-to-tank method. The MID showed the FE as 16.3 kmpl. Not bad, I say.

Those are some great numbers you're getting Sanke1. [clap]
Plus waiting eagerly for you to get those European tail lamps fitted in your Polo and post some pics here.

^^ I hope they live up to the hype.

On a sad note, I wanted to take my car for a spin on expressway. But one of my cousin's friends met with an accident while coming off expressway on old Mumbai-Pune highway. His car was waiting at a junction for a U turn when a tempo rammed their Chevy Beat from behind. Mom died on the spot and father is serious. Friend escaped with minor injuries.

I went Pune by Shivneri bus.[cry]

Got my tail lights today [:D]

Damn what a hassle to install. Not as simple for Indian Polo.

The plastic screw which secures the lights from behind didn't fit. So a friendly local garage installed them using an iron bolt. Much stronger.

I didn't bother to re-wire and convert them so now I have reverse light as red [glasses] Trade -off

Should you buy them? Yes if you are willing to accept the trade-off. They look wicked on the road though!!!

The result is here for you to see

They look even better at night.

I would still call it a successful mod though!!

Wow those tail lamps do look nice. Plus as such you have smoked headlamps in the front, these tail lamps compliment it pretty well. Great job mate!
Regarding the red light for reversing, i guess you will have to be extra careful from now on while reversing, as the traffic behind you wont come to know that you're reversing till the car actually moves backwards. Drive safe!! And a big [thumbsup] from my side on the mod done.

Dayum. That looks HAWT!!!! Good God. My love for the Polo (or should I say your Polo) just doubled. Jesus. With the smoked headlamps up front, it totally compliments the looks like GM88 mentioned. But I'd advise you to take it to a reputed FNG that specialises in VW/Skoda cars and do the re-wiring because it can be dangerous and it's better to be safe than sorry.
But once again, that Polo looks hot. I wish I could get the same done on my Polo too.

And please please please. We need more pictures. Night shots, front view, etc etc.

The price is on the first page of this topic.

Surprisingly the duty was just ₹ 541 only.

I just need to remove the red reflector lens from inside the casing by taking my sweet little time. Then it should be white.

Then I guess you don't need to rewire it. But even if you manage to remove the lens on the red coloured part, I don't think you would be able to fit it on the rear fog lamp side because of the shape (unless it can be stuck backside front). If you can't stick it, then the fog lamp will be white too I guess and if ever you switch it on, people will mistake it for a malfunctioning reverse light [:D]

Yes but I can switch on Fog light for having 2 reverse lights.

I don't think we use fog lamp that much in Mumbai.

Sorry for back to back post.

But I have to mention that the mod is now a 100% success.

Managed to remove red fog reflector and lens from the enclosure using pliers (pakkad). Took 15 min to twist and break it inside and pull it out piece by piece. That took care of reverse light.

Went to a local paint shop and did a red tint on the yellow fog bulb.
Also need to make sure that a pin from both the connector sockets need to be swapped from 5th to 6th holes and vice versa. If not sure go to your local workshop and ask them to add a tether wire. Do not cut any wires at any cost.

So the mod is possible I can confirm. Whoever wants to buy, I can help.

Night shot:
