@ sree thanks for providing the bill details. Anyways i can easily detuct 1500 rs of ac disinfection and alignement. So yeah service cost is decent and i don't believe in all the posts about reliability of vw parts. Every manufacturer may or may not have a particular part and one can source parts from various sources. Anywyas, waiting for the creta prices [:D] which will affect the decision of hatchback buying.

Looks elegant, I would love to know from where did you ordered this as I'm searching for it quite a while!
It'll look more premium!
I ordered from aliexpress.com

Link here

Cost me Rs. 3900 after conversion. It was delivered in a week and I paid Rs. 0 in custom duties.

It arrived few days back and I installed it from local garage. 10 minute job. Bumper removal not required.

Pic here

I personally think that this is an extremely awesome mod and more than value for money. The car looks more classy.

If you have a credit card, pre mid-2014 polo, then go to the above link and order it. [:D]

Completing nearly 3 years. 3rd Service is due.

Just feeling sad that Volkswagen cheated every diesel engine owner out there.

Thankfully mine is petrol. But ARAI must do a thorough (corruption free) check of all Volkswagen cars running on Indian roads.

Finally managed to get car serviced. The service workshop said that my battery was bust.

How???? In just 3 years????

Well, I got it replaced for 5k extra. Final bill was around 17000. [frustration]
Not happy.

But anyway. The car is working as it should and no rattles or leaks.

I came across this polo which looks hawt!!

Not my image.

What is your view on the car being with you for 3 years, What will you say about the Power delivery, average, suspension, etc which play a crucial role in the ageing of a Cars life?
Do also share your memorable road trip with the car which gave you the feeling to drive her more and more and made you stand by with the purchase?

For me, the car behaves exactly the same it did on Day 1. But I am not an aggressive driver and I change gears gently. I also get my car serviced exactly after 1 year.

The car sometimes feels out of power but that is due to 3 cylinder 1.2 Non-turbo engine. TSI was not released back then and even 4 cylinder 1.6 Petrol Polo was discontinued so I had to opt for this engine. Apart from that, everything feels good. Definitely better than Maruti and Hyundais in same price range.

Suspension is soft due to nature of roads in India. If the suspension is stiff, it may cause some back injury due to a pot hole or speed breaker.

Average fuel efficiency is acceptable.
In City: 13-15 kmpl under normal traffic.
5-10 kmpl under heavy bumper to bumper traffic.
15-18 kmpl on expressway. Once I had hit 19.5 kmpl from Pune to Mumbai journey.

Can any one guide me Polo Petrol 1.2/Ameo 1.2 or Baleno Petrol 1.2 or New swift limited edition in coming month .. budget 7lak...
Hey surya,
I would suggest you go for Ameo 1.2. Reason being the Swift is too much on the roads and it wont either help you to differentiate your's as, we all know what limited editions they make. Baleno is a close call but again Ameo is all that practical car you will get from VW at this budget. Its 3-Cylinder motor is not that underpowered as to what it is showed. Its a very Rev free motor.

Guys please be careful. VW Workshop Sewree (Shivdi), Mumbai are being dodgy.

My car developed Gearbox problem in July. 3rd gear was not get engaged. So I sent the car to workshop. The guy was being extra nice to a point I started to doubt him. He first said that the entire gear assembly like strings need to be replaced. Then I said ok. Later he called and said the assembly need not need changing. He only changed a bush. Then he said as a goodwill he also replaced the entire gear assembly. I asked him what was the need for it?
This time I was suspicious and told him to give me all the details of work carried out and I will get it checked from another service center. This time he backtracked and dropped all the gear assembly charges.

After a month, ABS light came on the instrument cluster. I again went to Sewree workshop. The service guy said one sensor had gone bad. I went to collect my car in the evening. Rs. 5000 for 1 ABS sensor change. Bloody hell. Then I asked for old sensor and the guy lied to me that he had kept it in my car's dickey and lost it there. I said I am not leaving till I get the old part. He took 1 hr and finally gave it to me. Then I googled the part number and he had given me a Passat sensor which seemed to be different than what was present in my car.

So are these guys taking money from us for parts which were NOT replaced?
