Very true. It is purely a psychological effect. Plus Speed97 will make a difference only to high performance petrol engine. Not the ordinary engine that 90pc of the cars here are equipped with. [:D]

I can't wait either. For you to get your taillamps i mean. [:D] Please do post the total cost incurred as well as how you got about ordering it and stuff. Please. And that GTi looks hot. But GTis have a different fog lamp design that makes look hotter.

1.2 tsi may take time to arrive, may be in middle of this year. But this model will only be available in highline trim which may come at price of around 7-8 lacs.
By the way, I saw polo 1.6 on display in a showroom in Noida. As I can see you are form Delhi, you can contact this dealer and ask him for discounts because at this point he can afford insane discounts on polo 1.6.
My suggestion would be wait for tsi, unless you are in desperate need of a car.

My polo highline was 30k dearer to yours even after 40k discounts!

I guess the tsi model will soon be launched in middle of this year simultaneously with the polo 1.6 tdi (or GTD). The year 2014-15 will see next generation of polo which is probably you are talking about.
Hi mate,

thats strange, maybe demo car ? - temped again lol
as for tsi tests are going on - according to rumours its coming in 2-3 months.
I have waited to buy this polo for too long, whenever i go or plan to buy i heard new polo is coming lol

I would suggest you to wait even more. The 1.2 tsi would be awesome, definitely worth the wait.

Hey guys, sending my car for check up at VW Lalbaug workshop. My clutch makes pulsating vibrations when I press accelerator. Higher the RPM, faster the pulsations on clutch. But if accelerator is let go off, then there is no pulsation.

Also today I noticed water like liquid dripping from front bottom. Checked and definitely not any oil or petrol. Maybe water from AC? But it should not drop on ground like this isn't it?

can't comment on the accelerator but that's indeed the water from AC. no need to worry , it drops on the ground. but for your satisfaction , confirm this from the service center. and no that GT grille doesn't looks that good on silver.[:D]

Good that you gave for check up. I hope its a small issue with clutch.

Water leakage also happened with me sometime back. Check if water is accumulating on layer inside bonnet at front, if it is then no need to worry. It must be AC water like allhyundai said.

My car just came back from service. Got them to check the clutch problem and they did some clutch bleeding, replaced gearbox and engine mounts with newer better parts. (Cold recall?) also added some grease.
They said clutch should not be a problem unless its slipping, hard or not helping to engage gears.

On driving I found the vibrations little less but still present. I can live with them and can take the car in anytime I feel so. The huge improvement is that, there are no vibrations on steering wheel what so ever.

Got authentic VW Polo mud flaps, and car cover from them for a total ₹2642.

Overall very nice pre-first service experience. SA guys and girls were literally running around doing their job and still I got my car next day!
There was a guy who had brought his Vento there without making a service appointment. He had completed 30,000 kms without any service. His car's dashboard was playing disco lights. They squeezed his car in queue too.
My faith remains unshaken.

This was at Volkswagen Lalbaug Workshop, Mumbai by Shaman Motors.

My gearbox is now what other guys were talking about. Makhhan!!!

I think so too. The posted image is too big. Wish there was edit button so that I could resize it.

Nice to know that vibrations and gearshift problem is gone.
But the 'newer better parts' is utter bullshit. There must have been some genuine fault with the original parts, and they are just shirking their accountability saying the new parts as better parts.

Anyways, enjoy the makkhan experience!!

By the way, have you got he tail lights yet?

Sanket. What is the update on your tail lamps? I think that is the talk of the town in the Polo group here at the moment [:D]

BTW, I just realized that I never commented on your car. Congratulations. I love the silver Polo with the new head lamps and alloys. Looks amazing. I heard that the black head lamps are actually cheaper than the chrome ones on the TL and CL. If that is the case, I might go for that for the time-being. Or maybe I should save up for the ones with the DRLs like in the GTi? *confused*
And I see we have the same seat cover. Nice [:D] Goes perfectly with the interiors of the Polo. But I wonder why your dealership charged you Rs. 9450 when I got it for Rs. 2000 less from EVM Motors, Tvm.

The clutch vibrations are still very much present past 2000RPM on lower gears. Today I drove from central Mumbai to Panvel in Navi Mumbai at 6am. The road was empty and drove at constant 80-90kmph speeds. I got a phenomenal 20.7 kmpl mileage. I was 80% time in 5th gear with ultra sedate/light footed driving. While coming back in evening heavy traffic, it was 14.2 kmpl.

It was amazing experience and since I didn't take Polo in higher RPMs, the clutch pulsations were non existent. I think it may not be clutch problem since the mileage is not taking a hit. May be some bearing issue? But again that is a clutch problem? confused.com!

Next goal is to drive on Mumbai-Pune expressway.

Regarding tail lights, they are stuck in Mumbai Foreign Post Office according to DHL tracking. I did call the customs and they will perform table examination and charge me accordingly. Today they were clearing Jan 1st week packets. Mine arrived on 2nd week. So it's going to take few more days. Slow and steady.

The VW workshop in Lalbaug has offered help in installing the tail lights. If its too easy, I will do it myself.

I would suggest you to be 100% sure that headlights ballast is compatible with Indian model. The LHD headlights from EU cannot be converted to RHD. You may install them and they may even work, but the light beam would direct itself into oncoming traffic. This is extremely risky for everyone including you.

₹9450 includes seat covers and floor mats. Actually thanks for pointing it out. I never checked.

About the EU headlights. Ofcourse. I will be looking at it only after making sure it fits perfectly without the need for ANY modifications.
Regarding your tail lamps, I pray that the customs people clear it and that you get it ASAP. I'd love to see how your Polo looks with those tail lamps and if everything is fine, you can expect a couple of PMs from me [:D]
