I have seen on flipkart, if you purchase something from flipkart and the seller is WS Retail, the product gets delivered very fast, but if there is some other seller, the product shipment gets delayed.
I suspect Flipkart ships really quickly for those in and near Bangalore is because they have a huge godown and office in Bangalore. Flipakrt takes 2-3days just for processing an order if you are from Trivandrum. No offense but my personal experience while ordering from Flipkart. But the fun fact is that they used to deliver in 2 days from date of purchase couple of years back. Don't know what happend during these years at Flipkart.![[confused]](https://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/images/smilies/Confused.gif "Confused [confused]")

Yes the reason is WS Retail is flipkarts own Retailer owned warehouse. Other sellers are third party (like ebay). One of the warehouses being in Bangalore, deliveries here take place within 1 day.

My past experience with Flipkart is good. Specially when I ordered my Acer net-book, which was delivered within 48 hours of placing the order.
However, I happen to order a Pack of 3 Denim Deo's, which took an astonishing 6 days to be delivered, which according to me is a lot of time. Considering the speed at which today's eRetailers can get it shipped within 2 or 3 days.
And it was from WS Retail.
It varies from the logistic partner they use to ship. For the netbook, they delivered it via Bluedart, but for the Denim Deo's, they shipped it from eKart Logistics (never heard that name before, so don't know that could be the reason for delay of delivery)

Ordered Sanyo Eneloop battery for cordless phone and Power hungry Canon SX150IS. Advantage over normal rechargeable battery is that it can hold charge for long period of time. And the charging cycle is 1800 times which is great if you are investing for long term use.
Review from flipkart:
1) They really do hold the charge for long times, as they claim. I always had to remove the cells from my power hungry sx100, when going on vacation so that the batteries do not discharge, the next day. Well these do not need to be taken out of camera at all.
2) I have taken upto 250 shots in 2days and batteries still did not die, how's that.
3) Once I had to use energizer since I forgot the cells, guess what 5 shots and cell die on me.
and yes both the above figures for shots are with flash on most of the time.

If you aren't seeing any delays in delivery, it may be because you are in the same city from where the shipment originates.

Shipment gets delayed if it is sent from different city. Yesterday afternoon i have placed order for 3-4 rattle for my baby. Three of them got delivered today morning (less than 20 hrs). The other one is coming from their Bilaspur warehouse. That is yet to reach Bangalore. All of them are sold by WS Retail itself.
But their customer care quality has fallen to a new low.
It was Cash On delivery for me and i was going out of office for sometime. So, i called Flipkart customer care and asked them to give the name/contact number of person who is carrying the parcel so that I can ask them to come late. (Normally they send the details of person who is delivering thru sms). She said 'we cant disclose all those. you will be getting order by 7PM' and was sounding harsh.
The delivery person finally called me when he reached office. I had to ask him to come later and deliver which he did. Poor guy, he came in 4 wheeler and had to come all the way back.
Few months back also same issue happened. That time, the customer care guy not only gave the phone number, also told me that he himself call them and update it (I said i cant wait till 7pm).
