Lucky you.
Tradus had not delivered anything on time to me.The last shipment is 6 days overdue now ![surprise] .They don't even have a customer care call number. Emails are not chained so each time different person is talking. Any one who cares to make Tradus smart?
That's strange. Did you check how far is the place from where the item needed to be delivered ? Mine was just 7kms, so maybe that's why they delivered fast.

I ordered a brand new tyre from snapdeal for my car. (old one burst).

Firstly it took the courier company 10 full days to ship from Delhi - Mumbai. I must say that's horribly slow, considering the age and world we are living in, where 2 days delivery is pretty much doable by eRetailers.

Secondly, I am dissatisfied with the tyre they shipped. Those are not brand new, but manufactured in 2010 [anger]

Now, I am thinking of whether to return it and ask for refund or go with these for some thousand kms and change the tyres again later.

Lesson learnt: No more buying tyres from online stores, no matter how sweet the deal looks.

It is always better to go to the tyre store and buy the tyres with physical inspection though price is little high than online stores[:)]

I suggest if possible return them and get back your money

When things are small, they can send the courier thru air (Air-cargo). When it is heavy, the courier charges climbs up and hence they opt for road transport. That takes time.
More over, most of these online retailers are acting as a medium between the seller & customer. So they do not stock it. So, it all depends on the seller how/when we receive it.

I received some items from snapdeal in 24-48 hrs. Some took almost 4-5 days. Flipkart.

FIRSTCRY:-
Bought a toy of Fisher-Price worth 999 from firstcry. (There was some offer going on).
Little Superstar
The Mfd date was 2011
Colors were faded.

Out of the three button cells on one of them exploded the moment i opened it (it was very weak).
Lucky that it burst to my side (Some part hit on my left eye-still itching)

Normally, they will have a plastic to pull(blocking contact) to activate the cells/battery. Unfortunately, there was nothing. It was making sound even when i touched the parcel.
As firstcry service is not good, i am no where in a mood to fight.

Will avoid them whenever possible.

ordered BBZ10 for dad through Ebay.in and estimated delivery was in 3 days. seller was based in Chennai. after three days messaged seller about delivery he said the time is just generated by ebay servers and he will ship my next week. Monday he has shipped via bluedart and blue dart said it will reach by tuesday. still no sign and after tracking it says it has reached delhi today. hopefully getting it delivered today. quite disappointed as dad wanted a phone asap since his old Blackberry died suddenly

If its a single tyre, you can keep it on. Hope you decoded correctly the tyre is 2010.
Its written as ''2710''. Did some research and got to know that it is to be decoded as 27th week of 2010.

I agree. So, I have decided to keep it for a few thousand kms. I am planning to change all 4 tyres in a few months.

Who knows, I might as well go for another car altogether [:D]

Thanks for explaining. So, I presume because the size of the parcel is heavy, they deliver it via road and not air, and hence the delay. That explains.

SNAPDEAL !

Ordered a Nivea deo combo at 164 (buy 1 get 1). Manufactured almost 26 months back with 'best before' of 3 months time. Returned & refunded

Ordered a Magic Mop @ 1200 or so. When it came, one part gone missing. The connecting part between mop & the rod. Raised a complaint & no news . I asked only those part than replacing the entire thing.

Ordered a Mixer Grinder (Oster 600W - Awarded as the best by Right Choice Magazine). Got now and the Manufactured date is 2012. The plug pin wire which was originally in white has turned to red -may be because of dust.

Arranged a reverse pickup from them. But, my question is. Why did they sent me an old product ! Just to give a better pricing?

Homeshop18. Ordered a refrigerator. As per them it is shipped from Bangalore. It takes 13 days :( . As it was not too urgent, i opted for it. 1800Rs saved than on store discount (on 14k). More than 10%.

I will stay away from snapdeal for products which got expiry dates or the ones which are related to electronics.

Electronic Goods are best avoided from online stores. Better buy from Store.
Rarely. If you say always, I beg to defer.
When I buy an electronic, I ensure I pay the correct amount only. When I buy a phone for 45K offline and it's available for just 35K online, I'll go on regretting everyday. Why waste your money when a better option is available?

even you can best avoid shoes and footwear from ordering online
I ordered a Tennis shoe looking at it's massive discount, from 6K to 4K. Within 20 days, the materials already worn in many parts, though very usable. It's a Nike one which I not at all expected to wear like this fast. Maybe because Im stupid to use a grass court shoes on a hard court. [lol]
I emailed to Nike and got a reply within 1.5 weeks and they asked me to ask Jabong with the email they sent me as proof. But I didn't return because of other reasons (at home).

Why is that ? I have ordered atleast 6 shoes online and none has given me problems so far. Sneakers, boots, boat shoes, loafers and sport shoes :p

Saved 900 bucks and ordered in front of the guy at nike store since he wasn't giving any discounts during a flat 30% sale.
