Are you sure the minimum duration is 1 year? Here in Kerala, the dealer said the minimum duration is 3 years and the EMI I am paying for the Rs. 1 lakh loan is Rs. 4055 per month (Basic EMI Rs. 3259 + Rs. 790/month for AMC) for three years which works out to an interest of Rs. 45980. Plus I wasn't given any discount because the guy said that no discounts can be offered under this scheme!!! Am I missing something or is the dealer tricking me? I shall ask the dealer again tomorrow.

Well I think that the dealer is tricking you to get more intrest. The minimum duration is one year, I can confirm you as I have a friend in volkswagen and that's how i'm getting all these dicsounts. Tell me about the amc, what does it cover?

My dealer also said that it is minimum for three years, but we can close it in one year. But VW website says that we can take for one year. I am not sure which is true

At first try to drive late night when traffic is lowest and drive very slow at around 30-40 kmph speeds. Once you get confidence, you can get into traffic.

One more thing you need to know which is must:

If you are climbing a hill or a bridge on a steep slope, apply handbrake and release the brake pedal. Then keep one leg on pressed clutch and other leg on accelerator and your left hand on handbrake. Slowly release clutch and handbrake and gently tap accelerator so that your engine RPMs don't drop below 1000 all at the same time. You have to practice this several times to get it right. Will save you that beginner's embarrassment. [:D]

I searched online for the Fully loaded scheme and it shows details only for the scheme which was run from June to July. Nothing for the scheme for December. It only shows us the details of the 50-50 scheme wherein you pay half now and half after one year.

For AMC, I have to pay Rs. 790/month for three years along with the EMI. With this, I get three free services (I will be charged only for washing the car and waxing and stuff. Parts and labour will be absolutely free along with free wheel alignment). I think it is pretty good considering how each service will cost around Rs. 15k atleast.

We can close in one year but we have to pay the EMI value calculated for 3 years? I checked the website but I couldn't find any mention of the Fully loaded scheme. I smell something fishy here. I will be going to the showroom after some time. Will check with them again.

My SA said that we can take loan for one yr. But if we want to take AMC for 3 yrs then i have to take loan for 3 yrs. Then he said that we can fore close the loan after six months. Is it ok.

Is metallic and non metallic in polo is same price. My SA said its same. However in the follwing thread I found its less for non mettalic. Please clear me so that I can pay 10000 less if its true

Well teflon coating does not depend upon the colour of the paint. It is like a protective layer over the paint. So get it if you want.

Why are you taking amc in the first place? I think its not that important. Are you getting the drive assure?

Well its the same for the highline model. But for the comfortline and trendline, metallic paint is 10000rs costlier

No drive assure is different, its like an insaurace, but if you will get drive assure, the benifit you will get is that, in case of an accident, the insaurance will cover the full price of everything, unlike in case of a normal insaurance where you will get half price of plastic parts and glass parts. But in case of drive assure you will get full price of everything. Even if your car gets stolen, you will get the full onroad value of the car. Even if you will lost the key of your car, you will get a new one for free. The price of drive assure is 10,000rs, but its worth it. Its for one year.

Should I get teflon coating done on my car?

NO I didnt get drive assure. But I aml getting zero dep Insurance. Anyhow I will enquire with him.

Today he gave the VIN No. for my car: WVWL13609ET037640. As per decoding it is Nov. manufactured and 2014 model. Is it right.

Again I am asking that is teflon coatong is required?

Update on the service and dent work repair:

After 1 month, the 2 repaired dents have returned at exact same place. I had just left the car in our garage and in the morning there were those same dents. The bodyshop guys said that it's an impact (even though there is no obvious impact damage like chipped paint) and refused to repair it under goodwill. I have lost faith in them. It was clearly a shoddy work.

Even I am frustrated with them! Firstly, it was the clutch vibrations that they were not willing to accept. Then, it was the accidental damage repair where they did not replace the damaged bumper, instead repaired it so badly that it was visible (Though after forcing them, they accepted and reworked on it). And now, I am yet to collect my car after the first service today (they have delayed it).

I think you should contact the customer care and file a complaint about their lousy attitude and quality of work. These guys work when you warn them about negative feedback or customer care bashing

Sorry to hear that, but howcome the dent is back? Without even an impact!

And about teflon coating, you better ask a person who owns a polo

I know i've broken the forum rules more times than anybody else but I have a suggestion, why don't you make this thread as the official vw polo review where everyone could post their doubts, question, queries, and anything else related to polo. This would be more than helpful to anyone who owns or dream of owning a polo. Please think of it
