Thanks Sanke1. I have ordered both MDI to AUX and 3.5mm extension.

Btw, you have done some really nice mods to your Polo! Do you plan to change rear seat's headrests to L-shaped ones? Is it possible? It would be a great mod as it would provide good rear view when rear passengers are not there.

Nevermind. Found the links. Those L shaped headrests look kinda odd to me.

Update: The Polo has now completed almost 11 months. The ownership has been so far relatively niggle free. The only twice it was in the workshop to fix some body work and gearbox and engine mount replacement under warranty.

My next small mod is to get the SEL bottom chrome grille.

Original VW Highline Edition Chrome Grill Grille Grid VW Polo 6R 03 2009 | eBay

But Tuning Fanatics send the parcel via surface mail (by cargo ship) I hate that it takes 3 months to reach me. So I am kinda on fence whether to order it or not.

Great! My Polo has also completed 11 months. Today only I gave it to workshop for vibrations in clutch at high rpm and vibrations when pulling the car from stall in 1st gear. These guys dont accept the issue at all. They are only replacing the gear mount. Was your problem solved after gear box mount change? And did they replace engine mount for the 1st gear vibrations? Was it solved too?

^^ Nothing was solved. The vibrations I don't notice them much these days. Maybe the clutch wears out that way.

Regarding the juddering while starting to move car in first gear, I apply a bit of accelerator so that the engine RPM is just above 1100. This way the car pulls without without any drama.

If I don't press a little on accelerator, the engine RPM falls to 800 or even 600 RPM and then the juddering occurs as if the engine mount is not able to hold the engine in place properly. The car does move forward but it feels very annoying and uncomfortable to other passengers.

Got my polo back yesterday from workshop after the gearbox mount change. I see the significant improvement. The vibrations while pulling in first gear and gear changes are now almost gone! [clap] Still to check the clutch vibrations.

Thank you. I am waiting for my car to be delivered. In the mean time, I am thinking of placing an order for the Sporty pedals like the ones that come in GT version. Might place an order through ebay? What do you suggest?

^^ You can order from ebay.com but you will need Credit Card attached to your paypal account to make a payment.

These days, if another Polo sees my Polo they automatically get aggressive and start to race. I just pretend that I am racing but don't actually race. Mumbai traffic is not meant for racing. lol

BTW, booked first service appointment at the end of this month. The lady over phone gave me estimate of ₹ 12000. Is it too high for a first service?

For a petrol, it is high. I expect it to be around Rs. 9-10k max. I was charged Rs. 12k for the first service (mine is a diesel). They had given me an estimate of Rs. 17k so it was like 5k off the estimate. [:D] They probably over inflated the estimate to keep me happy when I saw an actual bill of Rs. 12k.

12k for first service of a petrol really seems high. Rightnow, who owns 1.2 Petrol HL payed approx 5.5k for his first service!

Congrats for this awesome car and subsequent mods. I made account specially to appreciate your car.

I am as well looking for 1.2HL Petrol, but the Red CrossPolo also took away my breadth away - specially all black interiors.

The VW guys are offering me 3yrs of Insurance + RSA + Warranty as FOC if I opt for VW finance.

Above clubbed with some <insert abbreviation here> plan 520 bucks more gets deducted from my account and I need not worry about that once a yr normal service payment.

worth it? Any experiences ?

^^ Cross Polo looks cash but it's got same 3 cylinder egnine. Not a performance car. But definitely one of the best looking hatch in the market and easily mod-able.

If you want performance, go for 4 cylinder GT TSI.
