Just returned from Kolhapur. What an awesome experience. The scenic beauty of Maharashtra during monsoons is unrivaled. The road is patchy at best. There can be miles of concrete and suddenly due to flyover construction you are stuck on pothole ridden service road. But still Polo managed well on potholes. It has become matt brown. So much mud. Hopefully after a wash, it will be back to it's shining silver self tomorrow.

Total 700 Kms journey in 2 days and still no driver fatigue. Says a lot about the quality of ride and comfort.

Agree.
I remember how tired I used to feel after traveling in wagon R for work. I would wash my face and grab a coffee to settle down after the travel, but nothing of that sort from polo. Ride is way more comfortable than any car I have sat in till now.

Thanks mate.

Completed 7000 km so far. Car is handling as it should. I did manage to hit nasty potholes but not noticing any wobbling or creaking noises.

Guys, sorry for no update since long time. I finally took the plunge and ordered the GTI front grille in June. After 3 months, it has cleared customs and left for local delivery office. Hope it arrives home soon.

Congrats Sanke1. Hope you get it in your hands soon. How much did you have to pay for the GTI grille? I have seen a few vendors selling it on ebay.in also.

I paid ₹9000 incl postage. Custom duty is flat 14% for plastic item.

One more thing. Does anyone remember me reporting the clutch vibrations? Well, they have reduced considerably to them being un noticeable.

He he. I do remember the vibes. Good to know that they have reduced. Did the vibrations reduce by itself or did you do something to reduce it?
And also, more details of the grill please. Like where did you order it from, mode of payment, etc. And a picture too if possible.

Regards,
Vipin

The vibrations reduced on their own.

I ordered grille from ebay.com from german seller tuning fanatics. Link is on the first page first post of this topic.
Customs processing is the worst in Mumbai. 3 months for it.

GTI Grille Update

It's here guys

R-Line badge will be put up after the Araldite dries up.

Regarding grille quality:
It's a 100% genuine OEM part manufactured by VW Germany. It fit very snugly and dare I say the fit and finish is even better then the original one.

GTI grille is looking fabulous on your ride Sanke1. Nice job. And I think you got it for a good price too overall. Had seen somebody selling on ebay.in for almost 16-17k. Waiting for you to put the R-line badge too and then gift us with lots of pics of your ride.[:)] Drive safe!
