He he. Yup. I saw that on vagtune. A bit too expensive though, isn't it? [:P]

:offtopic: Booked a Pearl Grey Vento TDI HL today evening. I couldn't wait till Jan 2014 for the Honda City to be released. Plus, VW had some good financing schemes. I got the Vento with the Fully Loaded scheme where in I get three years free insurance, three free services, three years warranty and three years free RSA. My dad thought it was a good offer plus we plan on keeping the car for as long as possible. So we went ahead and booked the car. Should be getting it sometime later this month.

Thank you Music_Swift. We will be exchanging the Getz. The dealer said he will come check it out and give me a decent price. I will also ask around at local car dealers and brokers. It is hard to sell a base model petrol Getz.
What is the offer on the MY14 model? If you are planning on keeping the car for a long time, it won't make much of a difference on whether it is MY13 or MY14. The reason I got the MY13 was because of the scheme. It seems VW allots them 100 cars per month depending on which scheme is running that month. So I got a November manufactured Vento for the scheme running in december wherein I get free services, free insurance etc and it works out to be cheaper than if I don't opt for the scheme. That is the reason why we went in for financing. I didn't go for Skoda because three of my friends who own Skodas had a bad experience. One friend's Rapid and another friend's Octavia burst into flames all of a sudden (two different days) and the other has the famed DSG issue. That's another reason why I didn't go for the Vento TSI. But by God. What a car. Drove the Polo TSI and fell head over heels in love with it. Lovely machine.

25000 kms with the Polo and she has been trouble free so far.

I love the Polo because it is fun to drive, has excellent build quality, etc etc but the only thing that let me down was the power, or the lack of it. [frustration] 75bhp isn't enough to propel this beast. If you keep the engine running in comparatively high rpms, she does pick up her skirt and sprint but I wish she would run like her tail was one fire.
And that is the reason I booked a Vento [:D] It has all the good qualities of the Polo in a slightly bigger package with a punchy engine. The last time I drove the Vento (which was a couple of months back), it had me wishing my dad would buy one. And, very unexpectedly, I'm now the proud owner of a Vento. I will be getting my car this coming week (Friday/Saturday). Can't wait to get behind the wheels. I couldn't wait till Jan for the City to be on sale and neither could I wait for the new Ford Fiesta (the other cars were out of the race).

Expect an ownership sometime after I get my car.

Vipin

Vento looks hot in grey colour Vipin. And,once again, welcome to Vento club.2 VW's in one year, great!
Thank you mate. I am looking forward to join the club. But on a sad note, we might be selling the Polo as well because there is no need for three cars in the house at the moment. The Punto will do the beater duty. The Polo will lie idle after I get the Vento. It will be a waste of time and money. On a good note, the car will hopefully be going to my classmate if everything goes right. I really don't want to sell the Polo but it isn't upto me.
The Polo will probably replaced by an automatic hatch or sedan so that my girlfriend can drive it. She doesn't drive now because she's scared of the traffic here and the car being a stick shift doesn't help matters. She can drive an automatic with ease (we found that out while driving the Polo GT TSI [:D] She was regularly doing 110-120 in the TSI [glasses]).
So the cars in the garage will be the Punto (doing the family workhorse duty), the Vento and probably an Amaze/Brio automatic.

Lol. That's the mileage that the MID displays when the foot is off the accelerator and the car is cruising. He he. I see it often on the MID but in real life, it's more in the region of 15-20 km/l [:D]

Finally bit the bullet and getting Polo 1.2 TDi maybe this week.
He he. Congratulations on the new VW. Seems like we have another VW fan here [:P] It is very difficult to buy another brand after you have tried your hands on a VW. The same reason I went for the Vento.
Post an ownership thread after you get your car.

I will probably be getting my Vento on the 20th [:D] Too excited. I find it difficult to sleep and spend my time. *sigh*
