Doesn't look too bad in real To each his own, I guess.
The wheels are of the perfect colour, black would have made it look really bad. In fact even while choosing alloys for my polo i tried out black but somehow it did not gel in with the car (Personal Opinion) in the end settled for the Gun Metal Silver- Black which i am very happy with now.

Not satisfied with either of them. Looks like the only option I have is the VW A.S.S itself (and they do a real good job).
As i must have mentioned earlier in you Vento thread, Colours like Black, white, red and Silver can be easily matched by the local painters and varies slightly for every Auto mobile Company but when it comes to exceptional colours which is just used by a certain company like yours then
it will be very difficult for the local painters to find a perfect match as the company of paint used will differ even if that you are able to find some how then the company usually paints in the paint booth and the local guy in the open so the finish will vary no matter how much you try. So when we opt for such colours its better to do the work in the ASS and spend a little more rather than saving a bit and making the finish look bad.

My thoughts exactly. I thought too much black will be an over-kill. That's why got the wheelcaps painted grey. Pictures don't do it justice.

You are right. I wish I had gone for a black or a white car now. Because it is easy to colour match pure white and pure black. But the pepper grey is a nightmare to match and no one here sells Asian paints or BASF automotive paint. I managed to get Dupont paint but that also has slight variations. The good thing is that this time, I didn't blow much money on the repaint. So giving it to the A.S.S for a proper repaint. Second time that I have to shell out money from my pocket for absolutely no fault of mine. [frustration]

Thanks to you observation and suggestion i made few tweaks in my front grill and pretty impressed with the outcome.

Holy Moley Sandy. Your Polo looks HAWT!!! And I love what you've done with the grill. How did you take it out? DIY or DSEDIFY (did someone else do it for you :D)?
Also, what kind of spray paint is it? Normal black spray paint? Does it stick to the chrome without having to sand it down or without anything else to be done before?

Sandy as I have said before, your Polo is just perfect! There are many mods though that can still be incorporated. Have you seen the vagtunes website? yes its little expensive but the variety of mods is just great.

Its very simple to remove the Grill, i found a video on youtube and just followed the steps. The Spray can is a Black Paint with Thinner and Lacquer and gives an excellent finish if you have a steady hand. It easily sticks to the Chrome strip,no need of sanding and all. It dries in 2-3 hours. You can check out my thread i have put up the picture of the spray can.

Thanks for the complement . I have been to the vagtune site a couple of times and have seen all the products, it is pretty expensive but the reason i am not spending much on the polo is because it will be just with us for another year. My main target is the Skoda Laura TSI/VRS which will be my next so just saving up a bit of cash for it. Once i get that car then wont be changing up for a long time and have lots of things planned up for it.

OK. I'll look up on youtube. I'm planning a DIY sometime in August after I'm done with all my exams. I prefer the grill without chrome or a single strip (like on the Cross Polo).

Also, yes, Vagtune has loads of stuff but the only thing holding me back is the cost.
And if you can get a VRS, go for it with your eyes closed. One hell of a car it is. Plus insanely beautiful too.

Yes Vagtune has a variety of products and specially for VW, Skoda & Audi. The pricing is too expensive but yes the product quality is surely good and original. If i would have kept this car for a bit more time would have considered a few things from there.

Before getting the Polo i looked around a lot for the Old Skoda Octavia VRS but unfortunately there were very few that were sold and the ones that were available were completely ripped off. Also the older VRS had some electrical issues that what i had heard. The Laura however is a much more tuned version. The TSI/VRS Laura have the same heart just with a few accessories more in the VRS. I have driven the TSI and have fallen in love with the car. Even if i can get a Laura TSI i can surely bring it closer to the VRS in looks for sure. The Laura VRS is much more difficult to find than the older Skoda Octavia VRS.

Yes Sandy. I agree with you. We might also sell the Polo and buy an automatic car so that my girl friend can also drive it. She finds manual gears too cumbersome and doesn't drive here at the moment. Thinking of selling the Polo and getting a Brio or Amaze but I personally would prefer the Polo GT TSI anyday.

Yes. The Honda Civic AT is a good car and available for cheap too. I forgot about used cars. Let me run the idea by her but I doubt it as she wants a car that cocoons her, preferably something small. She too loves the GT TSI and felt at home in that compared to the Brio. Let's see how it goes. But I sure will miss Princess when and if we sell her.

After 3 years of ownership (mostly niggle-free), we finally sold off Princess as we will be relocating to the US of A in a couple of months.
Will post details soon.
