Harish, did your dealer give any timeline? You should show it to them personally and ask to expedite the resolution.
Does your zest make beep sound while locking or unlocking? If yes, let me know the settings as mine is not making any sound, only indicator flashes.
No Timelines given. I've talked to them 2 days back and they was not able to give any timeline. Just said that they are working on the fix.
My dealer is atleast 20 km away and I've to deal with heavy traffic on the way. So will show them again when Ive some other task to club with.
No beep sound after successful lock.
Horn sound if any doors are not closed properly and we try to lock.
By design I think its like that.

can anyone advise if TML has officially taken a note of this issue and promised any ETA to fix this ? If yes where they have officially mentioned it ? on FB/twitter ? Thanks
Has it been raining in Pune in the last 1 month? If not, thats the reason they didnt get complaints yet.
And moreover, Users dont tend to check inside engine bay with that caution.
Even if you open the engine bay and have a look straight, everything will look normal. you have to peep inside to the sides to see the issue.
I'm sure that every Zest is having this issue as me and my SA along with Service guy checked the vehicles in the showroom.

No official acceptance yet.
But service guy says, they are in progress.

May be they are silently working on it

I'm also just hoping that they are silently working on it.
But it can also be that they are trying to sweep things under the mat and doing nothing.
I think its time to show some frowning faces to the service guys [anger]
Being a new car owner, will they make me run between pillars if i take insurance from outside?
I dont think it will be a huge problem if you are still going with reputed companies.
I've read somewhere that Royal sundaram was giving cashless facilities at Tata service centers.
They are charging around 20 for Diesel XT B2B.

@harish - Quick question. During my TD i noticed a khat khat sound when the zest steering was turned extreme right / left. Did u notice it? I also felt the steering column (if that's what its called) touching my toe. Any inputs?

I didnt experience such a problem.
But sometimes with full steering turns a negligible squeaking sound was produced a few times.
In my driving position, I didnt ever face an issue with toe touching anywhere other than the intended pedals.
I've tried it all with heavy boots, slippers and bare foot. Never faced any issue.

I got final quote for XT revotron today and the good news is hopefully before 18th October I may get the delivery as per my request.

XT Revotron Ex Showroom = 619861
RTO = 34,841
Insurance (TATA AIG, 0Dep, B2B) = 23061
Total = 6,77,762/-

This quote is for my loan processing.

I had again looked for MIB issue (Mud in Engine Bay), and in their TD vehicle there was very little mud visible. While checking I observed that Bottom of the Engine bay is almost open from below (ground side), is it normal? Dear Owners please check the bottom of your cars in front area and let me know.

Yes, Its open and you can see the ground below.
But think that wont cause any issue.
From near the wheels only mud can enter and that part is covered except the already reported issue on top of the wheel well.

I put a hand inside the cladding of wheel near they engine bay and seems quite thoroughly covered, and still mud sneaking in? This is really a minor but tricky bug.

Hello All,

My name is Chethan and I bought Blue Zest XT Quadrajet. My Zest is almost one month old and has done 1780kms and average FE is 14.8kmpl (Both city and highway)

Positives of this car.
1. Value for money.
2. Drive ability on both city and highway.
3. Great audio quality
4. Fuel efficiency (City around 13kmpl and highway around 19kmpl)
5. I need not worry to pay anything for next 3 years (AMC will take care of it)

I found few surprises during first 2 weeks itself.
1. LED color was different on mirror indicators. This was observed when we unlock the car. One was having red LED and other was orange. This is a minor issue can be ignored.
2. Alignment was missed when car was delivered to me.
3. I could see fuses were clearly visible on the driver side.

All the above reported issues are addressed by dealer service manager (KHT motors, Brookfield).

4. Door rattling on the front left side. This problem they have resolved now. But I have to check this during my next long drive.

The KHT motors team is supporting for any issues which I report. They have assured they will take care. I hope I will not face any issues atleast in another next 2 months.

I did not see mud entering into the engine bay.
@Harish: Can you share some details? How to check?
First service is scheduled after 4500-5500km or 3 months. I see you mentioned as 3000km.
