How long does these guys take to complete service procedures?
With Maruthi, I just give a call, they come and pick up my car and give it back by evening.

Regarding synthetic oil:
Are you sure about using it at this stage?
I read somewhere that it slows down the running in process, which will continue till 10k kms.
Any gurus have any comments on this topic?
There is a thread on same -

Concorde also has pick and drop facility, they usually take half a day for regular services. But an auto enthusiast like me cant leave the car in hands of them. I myself go there and stand next to car while being serviced. Now a days my son also comes along with me. [:D]

Yes, For now its giving around 15.6 on avg after running for around 1900 KMS.
The catch is my city drive is limited to less than 2-3 KMs in a stretch and Never I get a chance to put the 3rd gear, Thanks to the "good roads" inside Electronic city[angry]
So before the engine starts giving its real performance I reach my destination.
On Highways where I'm easily getting 18+
First service is at 3000 KMS. Hope things will get better
on the test drive car which was XT QDJ,the average milage was showing as 12.6

Sir, I have read you ownership review of Honda City on other website and have regularly followed your posts and threads. Right now very confused about buying my first new car (earlier driven old Cielo, 800 and Santro) between Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and TATA Zest.

Ciaz ticks all the boxes and City to some extent but are bit overpriced for my budget.

Zest is also very good car and Diesel XT model is in my budget minus the space I will pay for in Ciaz and City. Just somewhat apprehensive of TATA ASS and brand[confused].
I'll say start a separate thread listing all your priorities and budget so people can give a better suggestion.

Out of these i will pick Zest if extra boot space is not required. It has all features you need and with the warranty packages Tata is offering it should be a good ownership experience.

As for the brand we Indians are too much infatuated with it rather than looking for what is our actual requirement and how much VFM the product is. Take a back to back TD of all 3 and then make up your mind.

I haven't driven Zest yet but my father is so much in love with it he is ready to exchange his Manza for it early next year.

SBI interest rates are lowest. One manager lives in my society and promised me to get it processed within 2 days. HDFC offered me 10.5
I am weighing the options and I have time in my hand due to waiting period[anger].

I heard that SBI is giving 10.45 at floating rate, but HDFC is giving 10.5 at fixed rate. Is is correct?

I am not particularly brand conscious but it is just that I am going to own my first New CAR is what is making me tread cautiously.

As far as taking back to back TD of all 3, yesterday I did and that is when I really became puzzled.

Zest is no doubt very very good car and ticks all the boxes for me.

My heart says Ciaz but mind says Zest. [frustration]

Ciaz is too costly compared to Zest...

You cannot rely on MID of Test Drive cars. I clearly remember when I test drove Manza the FE was showing 10.XX kmpl.

You cannot compare Zest with Ciaz. They absolutely two different segments.
