from the photos it looks pretty bad,it can cause premature rusting and the water entering may fumble with electricals.why dont you try pasting a rubber mat with a hole in the middle for the suspension sturt on to the wheel well cladding as a temporary measure till Tata finds a solution?

harish cant you do something on your own to resolve this issue

I ddint want to do any experiments with it. I believe its TML's responsibility to come up with a solution. I would like to leave it to the experts.
I didnt want to cause any imbalance with the weight of the material I use.
Also I dont know what kind of temperature / Pressure the extra part will go through if i try fixing something in between.
And if my temporary fix flies off in high speeds(or even melt) and gets inside any moving parts of the engine, it might cause more damage than what this issue is doing now.

Its around 3 weeks that I and others have reported this issue and I guess its high time TML comes up with atleast some update on this issue.

Whoever taking delivery or going for inquiry/TD, please make it a point to press the sales/service head for the update on this resolution so that we can make sure things are heard and are given the right priority

It looks horrible. So much mud is making way to engine bay.

Harish, did yourdealer give any timeline? You should show it to them personally and ask to expedite the resolution.

Does your zest make beep sound while locking or unlocking? If yes, let me know the settings as mine is not making any sound, only indicator flashes.

Hi all

can anyone clarify abt interest rates currently being offered at SBI and HDFC ? which is better ? I'm getting pre-approved offers from both. thanks
SBI is far better than HDFC even though their interest rates are same. Right now there is no prepayment penalty, processing fee waiver and loan up to 85% and in some cases 100% on road prices by both SBI and Bank of Baroda up until this month. SBI rates are 10.45% and Bank of Baroda are 10.5%. HDFC also is charging 10.5% but please go through following charges of HDFC before even considering loan through them[frustration].

Enclosed below are HDFC Bank New Car Loans Interest Rates & Charges
Description of charges New Car Loans
FC Charges No foreclosure allowed within 6 months from date of availing the car loan
6% of Principal Outstanding for preclosures within 1 year from 7st EMI

Pre Payment Charges ( pre-payment is allowed only once a year ) 5 % on the part payment amount in case part prepayment is within 13-24 months from 1st EMI
3% on the part payment amount in case part prepayment is post 24 months from 1st EMI
Part-payment is allowed subject to completion of 12 months (i.e., Post payment of 12 EMIs)

got a call from my SA. Price revised by around 1k so I have to go through the leasing procedure again including around 50 signatures : (
There is not even a single rupee increase in price of Zest for any model by TATA. This is all dealer playing tricky tricks on you. Yesterday, I was out in Mkt for getting final quotation from 3 dealers and all of them provided almost identical same price list. Just tell your dealer to give in writing on a performa about price increase and also write on Official Facebook page of Zest about this corrupt dealer practice. I encountered same problem here in Delhi and TATA promptly replied back to me.[clap]

Sure Harish, We are together here to support each other. I have already posted this link to TML contact i got.
You can post photos to their FB page and twitter handles to get TML attention along with dealer tracking. But i see multiple posts on same issue by current owners, so i think it would have got escalation.

Lets hope for resolution soon as me too getting my XMA soon!

Me too wondering after issue how they didn't face the issue as i heard like Zest was tested in LEH too where climate often changes and rains badly too with mountain roads.

I have received a Proforma Invoice from Concorde Motors with the revised Ex-Showroom cost(Gone up by Rs. 573/-). As per your suggestion, I have posted a query on Zest FB page as well. Let's see if they respond.

Edit : Just checked the TATA Motors Website, it is showing the new price now which matches the latest Proforma I Received. It's a miniscule revision, problem is about doing the entire process again.

I asked the SA abt this mud-in-engine-bay issue. They said they have no idea about this. They also told me that thr have been quite a few deliveries in pune but no one has reported this issue so far ! [confused]

one even told us that it's not possible for mud to enter to engine bay. we asked them to check TAI and TML FB page. They said they wil chk. and then we left the showroom.

can anyone advise if TML has officially taken a note of this issue and promised any ETA to fix this ? If yes where they have officially mentioned it ? on FB/twitter ? Thanks

Reaction of my SA too was similar. At the same time no official acknowledgement by TML on this particular MIB issue, (MIB = Mud in the engine Bay) either on Facebook or otherwise. May be they are silently working on it [;)]

I am confused when it comes to Insurance.
When spoke to TL at concorde Motors, the 26k insurance charged is a comprehensive insurance and if I want to go for b2b then it would add another 3.5k and for zero dep, it would cost more.
My friend at future generali said, the zero dep would cost only 23k i.e., 10k lesser than what concorde provides?
Being a new car owner, will they make me run between pillars if i take insurance from outside?

Hi,

KHT motors Bangalore having tieup with Future general insurance and they quoted me 21199 after bargaining for 0% dep(b2b). Initially dealer quoted price is 26809. I talked with Future General people with the help of my SA in KHT motors. Finally fixed 5k less. Royal Sundaram quoted 20k for the same 0%. It varies company to company.
