Ok. Thanks again.
Have you installed the one which has a very large screen.
I may be asking too much from you but by any chance you can post a link or a picture.
Its the one with the large screen. You also have options for bluetooth and music in it but since you would be having OEM music system , that won't be of much use.

One thing that is a big drawback for this autocop is that you won't have a IRVM and the reverse view is activated only when you slot in reverse.

This can be a problem when driving on highways, when we may sometimes need to look into the IRVM to know if any vehicle's behind us.

No issues on this front, i have been using this and the reversing screen acts as an IRVM also. Day time i can say there is zero issues, the visibility becomes poor during night time only but again not a serious deal breaker.

Hi All,
Has any body tried getting the second Key ( retractable Key for XT) changed to the one with Remote and Engine immobilizer ( like the first retractable key). Any idea how much will it cost? I don't see a logic for not making the second key as as first.

Thanks,
Sudheer MUttam

Yesterday saw a taxi zest xm model

Is it the reliability or the vfm that prompted the taxi owner
I feel its the reliability factor because TATA cars are abuse friendly and first preference for fleet owners. As for VFM, I feel its a 60:40 ratio i.e 60% Reliability and 40% for VFM.

How is the car, service cost .
Hi Harish,
It's been a long time since any updates about ur Zest. How is the car performing
Sorry Guys,
Was caught up with personal and official stuff and missed to update this thread.

Quick catch up updates.
  1. Clocked 57000 KMS
  2. All 3 free services done. 4th paid service costed around 1k only.Due for the 5th service in another 3k KMS
  3. No major issues as such except the below. (all are fixed now)
    A) Minor noice from AC blower, they replaced the KIT free of cost
    B) Squeaking sound from wheels, It was issue with parking break
    C) Clutch master cylinder failure, replaced free of cost (this one was a bit problematic. the clutch was getting jammed)
    D) Vehicle was not cranking while trying to start and all electric equipment were flickering. Issue was with the cable assembly which connects car to the battery. Replaced at a cost of 3k
  4. Fit and finish still as good as new. no new sound coming from any part of the car.
  5. Replaced the tyres with yokohama earth1 at 50K kms.
  6. After the Tyre replacement and wheel alignment, control improved highly. was able to touch 150 without any lose of confidence in control.
  7. During wheel alignment they found two alloy wheel were having a dent and put them on the rear. May be that helped for the better control.

After 2.4 years, I still enjoy my ride as on day 1. nothing changed, neither me, nor my car [:D]

How are Yokohama's performing? I changed my XMA's stock tyres at 57k kms with Pirelli's and the performance is good. The tyre noise has reduced by a decent margin and the grip is now even better, thanks to the 195 profile that I am using now.
