@GodFather I had few queries :

1. The following list we got long ago

885703110002 PARK ASSIST Reverse Parking Sensor with Camera Rs.5380
885703110004 PARK ASSIST WITH DISPLAY ON IRVM Parking Aid with Camera and IRVM Display Rs.20350

So the cost of IRVM with Rear Camera is 20k ? or that is a typo ?

2. Where did they fir the rear camera. On the rear bumper ?
For that did they drill a hole ?
I am not aware of the 20k one. Mine is from Autocop supplied by the dealer itself. It comes with a reverse camera, IRVM display and 4 rear sensors. Total cost was 8.5k. The camera is drilled and mounted to the rear bumper.

While returning from a recent trip to Mekedatu accompanied by heavy wind and rain, there was an impact to my bumper due to sudden breaking. The left side of the bumper had come out a bit.
Went to TAS and they worked on the bumper and got it fit properly. Even the sensors were working fine at that moment. However suddenly it stopped working and I saw critical fault, get it rectified from dealer message on the display.
When I showed it to the dealer he said one of the sensors had gone kaput and had to be replaced. And it costs Rs 4350 just for one sensor [frustration]

So I was wondering just the cost of 4 sensors is close to 16-17K on the XT vairant ?
How come other vendors are providing at a cheaper cost, what value is it adding If I could get similar functionality in a lesser price ?

Can someone throw some light on this

Well, the official tag price of four parking sensors + camera from tata dealership is Rs.5380 :

PARK ASSIST Reverse Parking Sensor with Camera 5380

So, what i think is , these sensors would not be available in loose.
May be the dealer had charged you the entire pack but only provided you a single sensor. Now that is just a speculation from my side. But you must enquire this. From which dealer you got this ?

Second thing , these sensors were not covered as part of 333 offer ?
Or is it that the only GOLD AMC covers it and not the SILVER?

Well I have aftermarket autocop sensors fitted. And Generally we dont get single sensor. I had my sensor gone caput and had to get a single sensor which cost me around 750 purely because I had purchased a few things from him and had built a rapport.

The price would be for new sensors with base.

As mentioned in the note, I had an impact to the sensor and hence its coverage with 333 would not be possible.

I got this quote from Concorde Motors Mysore Road, Bangalore. He clearly mentioned one sensor is 4.5k and I was shocked. Worst part is if one doesn't work, the display won't show anything except the error message. This is the price we pay for buying top end models with company fitted sensors I guess [cry]

That is atrocious[anger]
Did you take a quote from other dealers?
Prerna BTM layout is nice. You can just call them just have a double confirmation.

Hi All,
I joined this TAI a week back. I have booked Zest XT QJT and the delivery is scheduled on the coming Saturday ( 10/10). Apart from the general PDI , is there any thing specific that i need to bear in mind with respect to Zest ( or TATA)
Regards,
Sudheer Muttam
Hi All,
Took the delivery after 2 weeks of its arrival at the dealer( Reason: waiting for Auspicious day ).
laid my hand on my ZEST XT QJT on 22nd ( Dusshera ) and drove to Mysore for Dusshera Utsav on 23rd early morning. From there drove to Ooty ( My bad took Masinagudi route, tough ghat). However i was ale to maneuver all the 36 hairpin bends well.[:D] There was a bit of power drop while starting after stopping in the mid of a steep hair pin bend. Apart from this , it was a pleasure drive.I was told that these are pre tuned engines[confused], so i didn't mind revving it up to 3.5K+ in that ghat road.

However i found the noise levels to be on a bit higher side. This might be due to me driving the petrol cars all through. I felt that when i try to accelerate fast , the engine sounds rough. I am sure if i show this to the service people , they will is that this is normal. I want any of our Qjt friends to give me a second opinion. I live in Kadugodi ( Whitefield ) are of Bangalore. If any one live any where near my place, Please give me a Buzz and i will contact you.

by the way i drove 780 Kms in 3 days and i got 18.5 Kms/L ( 80 % AC and 20% Hill and forest roads{ full of speed breakers} and most importantly all the way bumper - bumper traffic. Blr-Msyr-Ooty-Mysr-Blr).

Over all very much satisfied apart from the one concern above.[clap]

Thanks,
Sudheer Muttam

Thanks for this. I checked with Prerana guys. One person routed to other and it went on till I could get hold of a person, 4th or 5th probably. He told me to give a call the next day so that he can check with the concerned person and get back. This guy told me that one sensor costs around 1.5k for Zest XT. I was puzzled to find out how the same part was quoted 4.5k in Concorde Mysore Rd.

This is where TML has to work a little bit to inspire confidence among passenger car owners. Some dealers attitude hasn't improved still.

Guess what?? You may get a different quote the second time you call them or you may even get a different quote from KHT motors.
So try your luck and get it from the dealer who offers the best price.[:D]

Try to keep the revs under 2k for initial runin period.

I agree with you in keeping the Revs below 2.2K . Interestingly i was told by SA that the engine that comes with Zest Qjt is a pretuned engine and that is the reason for the oil change at 15000 KMs.

However this needs citation from the more experienced people here.

Also is there a lack of power in 2nd gear especially while manoeuvring on uphill like the parking ramps in MLCP's? I felt so and had to move to 1st gear to keep the vehicle moving forward.

Thanks,

autocop reverse camera display is fitted in the place of IRVM. They drill a hole at the rear bumper for the camera and the cam view gets activated when gear is in reverse. its cost varies between 4000 to 5500 rupees.
these are available with dealers and can be fitted by them before delivery itself

Thanks for the information Kishore.
But in Bangalore, that is not the case. Autocop is not available with the dealers. I checked with two of the dealers.
