you are right. we tend to compare.
My FIL drives a dzire petrol.
When I used to drive it occasionally, I feel lack of power often.
Overtaking on highways gone risky several times due to miss timing rising from the power difference.

Take a wise decision. and please don't buy any of them without ABS and Airbag.
Took back to back test drives of toyota etios diesel and tata zest diesel.

The ride quality is very good in etios and it was very good. For zest it felt planted on road due to its heavy weight.

Etios is very driveable and easy to handle heavy traffic.

Features and feel good zest was in different league altogether.

The etios GD was 8 lakhs on road and zest xms diesel was around 8.1 lakhs here on road. I can negotiate on the zest as the dealers have a lot of idle zests in their stockyard. The etios diesel is a super hit here in hyderabad with most of the cabbies opting for it. So not much discounts for etios. I am not going for the petrol due to its air con issue and low mileage.

My running is 9K to 10K per year, but even then I am looking to go for the diesel due to its proven engines and ability to handle highways alongwith good mileage in the long term.

I am seriously confused after the test drive. [frustration]

I have rejected aspire once and for all.

The 14" don't justify the car and ford has clearly compromised on ride and handling. Its just another dzire for me. I am sorry to be harsh but I was clearly disappointed due to my higher expectations from it.

Need to wait to get another quotes for other dealers.

I though Aspire will be a more tight competition than Amaze for Zest.

For me, If its was aspire and zest, winner would be zest anyday.

high NVH levels, plain interiors, and looks like Brio from the front. These were enough for me to remove amaze from my list.

Aspire is light build and the tyre size and comfort tuned suspension are a big let down.
The paint is very poor in the boot. The boot is worst and may damage the bags under full boot.
The springs are used inplace of gas struts.
They take more space

Well IMHO Zest surely is a better package then Aspire, the only thing Aspire trumps Zest on is Safety and that too only on Titanium plus version which costs over 10 lakhs. So for most of the users out there Zest is the best out there in Compact Sedan segment, also add the fact that Ford ASS is almost equal to Tata ASS in terms of overall experience. Tata atleast has a far larger presence then Ford.

Hello Anoop, I have tried private messaging you my number in TAI, but seems you have chosen not to receive private messages in settings. I think providing phone number publicly is against forum rules. Please add me as a friend in TAI and PM me.

Guess the PM option will be enabled once the user completes 10 posts. Not sure though.

Harish, would like to hear more about your car. Guess its nearly an year now? What is the ODO reading now? What is the average mileage so far? Any other niggles you have encountered recently? I have taken an XMS diesel a month back and will be soon coming up with an ownership thread. Looking forward to hear from you.

Hi All,
I joined this TAI a week back. I have booked Zest XT QJT and the delivery is scheduled on the coming Saturday ( 10/10). Apart from the general PDI , is there any thing specific that i need to bear in mind with respect to Zest ( or TATA)

BTW: I have been following this thread for a while and a BIG THANK YOU everyone for all the inputs .

Hi,
Is the display of the Camera connected to IRVM or the HK System. I am getting my XT delivered this Saturday and planning to get the rear camera fitted.

Thanks,
Sudheer Muttam
Hi Sudheer,

I am not sure which type of display you are referring to. TML is providing 2 options for rear camera.
1) Rear view camera display will be a 4.5" screen which will be dashboard mounted
2) Rear view camera display on the IRVM from Autocop

I have gone with the second option.

It costed me 8.5k including 4 sensors and camera.

@GodFather I had few queries :

1. The following list we got long ago

885703110002 PARK ASSIST Reverse Parking Sensor with Camera Rs.5380
885703110004 PARK ASSIST WITH DISPLAY ON IRVM Parking Aid with Camera and IRVM Display Rs.20350

So the cost of IRVM with Rear Camera is 20k ? or that is a typo ?

2. Where did they fir the rear camera. On the rear bumper ?
For that did they drill a hole ?
