do anybody knows from where to buy accessories for zest in delhi, as nothing is available at dealer.
Mats are available at jazzmyride website. Dont order from snapdeal, their shipment partner is ridiculous. I had ordered and cancelled after 3 weeks of waiting

Guys, One Major Update on Mud In Engine Bay Issue:

After all the following up with mail and calls, Finally today I received call from TML guys.
He has told that issue is acknowledged and R&D team is working on it. He will drop me a mail acknowledging the same.
In a month or two we can expect the fix [:D]. He said max by Dec/Jan.

Yesterday I had visited Concorde motors for fitting mud flaps and had a talk with sales TL.
He was genuinely worried about this issue as customers have started asking about this.
Mayank Pareek, President of passenger cars, TML is visiting Bangalore Concorde motors in the coming week and the sales TL has promised to take this issue up to him.
He has requested to mail him with the details so that he can also take it up from his side which I had already done.

I think now, we should show some patience and give them two months to give us a permanent fix.
Harish, Any further update regarding this?

I had mailed this issue to customercare. They directed it to TSM and TSM called me up. He said that TML has not received any such complaint. When I explained him that you have reported it and got the acknowlegement from dealer, he was still reluctant to accept it.

Then he asked, did I face this issue. I told I haven't because of very less running and no raining in Delhi. But, I am worried it may happen to me anyday. Then he told, "if this happens to you, you can contact to customercare and they'll route it to the technical team. I have updated you what I know about this issue".

It will be good for all, if you can share whatever official communication have been done regarding this issue.

ZEST has dual horn. Search "dual horn tata zest" in google, you'll see many links supporting this.
I couldn't find it anywhere in the Zest official site that its dual horn. It doesn't definitely sound like dual tone as It makes only a single frequency sound.

Checked the the car and saw two flat horns. So Officially may be dual tone, but practically, No.

Harish, Any further update regarding this
please find the below mail send to me by Support Manager after having a telephonic conversation.

As discussed, we have acknowledged your complaint and this has been escalated to our senior management as well.We are working on this issue to provide a solution.

Probably by a month we shall come up with a solution. We will definitely keep you updated on the same.

I guess you can get in touch with Customer Care again through mail with sujay.shanbhogue@tatamotors.com in CC, who send this to me.
Mention that he has acknowledged the issue and why its not communicated throughout the support team.

Hi Harish,

I was thinking of buying Jopasu duster from below link since it has a good review everywhere. Any idea on this ? This is only for dry surface and we cannot use it when the car is wet or while washing it with water.
Jopasu Car Duster

Also jazzmyride has micro fibre cloths for wet/dry, how do you rate them
Speedwav Multi Purpose Microfiber Drywet Cleaning Polishing Cloth - Brown | 26140 | Speedwav

Was checking their car covers also, since I park outside.

In general how is jazzmyride (speedwav) products, has anybody got anything from them ?

Anybody who has some experience in these can throw some light for quick ways to keep the car clean. Options should/can be included for both dry/wet cleaning.

Hello,
That jopasu duster looks promising.
It has lot of reviews and everyone has rated it good.
I'm also planning to buy it as I also park it outside.

If you are washing on your own, micro fibre cloth is worth it.
I've used an imported one and was surprised to see its effectiveness.
Im not sure how good speedwave is going to be.
I've ordered sppedwave floor mats and awaiting delivery.
I might be able to comment on the brand quality as soon as I get it.

According to me, car covers do more harm than good.
Unless its of top quality, moisture and dust will get inside and do damage to your paint.
And when you pull off, it can cause scratches as well.
I park in a shade and I guess that's enough.
Research a bit more and take decision.
We have a tendency to overspend on new car, check if its really necessary.
Hey Harish,
I am currently getting 9.5kmpl on my mid, What about You??
Are u sure its quadrajet?
If yes, then its pretty disappointing.
I drive on highways and city. Now my total fe stands at 15.
In city atleast you will get 11 even moving in 1 and second gear.
If its revetron petrol, that's a good fe you are getting if only city drive.

Thanks Harish.

I completely agree on the car cover, but the only reason going for it is, I park below a tree so the bird droppings, leaves and small flower particles get deposited near the hinges of boot and the bonnet where the wipers are housed. Real difficult to remove them and clean. Any idea to prevent them without the cover ?

Thanks for the reply Harish,
And yeah I'm pretty sure I have Purchased a diesel car :P
But what i wanted to enquire about, was the improper slotting of gear, particularly in 2nd, which tends to wiggle on amount of the gas pedal pressed.! :|
Happy diwali By the way :D

Happy Diwali[:)]
As You didn't specify which fuel it runs on, I was confused[;)]
Yes, in second and third I too felt the gear vibrations while accelerating. More on 3rd gear I guess.
I think that's of not much worry.
Every zest is having it. So hopefully its doesn't harm anything.

Regarding FE, ill suggest to reset the 'B' trip meter and check again.
Try driving on highways and see the reading.
In highways, at least you should get 16.
Run for few kms and see.

The 1.3 MJD is known for its FE in all its applications.

The same 90 bhp version in Tata Manza delivers 14 in city and 20 on highways.

Probably after run-in, the engine will settle down nicely and start delivering nicely in terms of performance and FE.

It has got something to do with the method of driving also. We need to upshift early with the help of ample torque available without revving too much in lower gears.

Also in Zest Quadrajet, unnecessary downshift also not necessary since the engine can happily pull from 40kmph to the glory in 5th gear.
