Update on Mud In Engine Bay issue.

when I opened engine bay, I was happy that my fix actually worked.
There was absolutely no mud after running in Rain for around 2 hours.
I'm sure I have lost one plastic flap towards the end of the journey as that side engine bay was also super clean.
Next step is getting the fix done more professionally, and I will get it done when I have a free weekend.
The challenge is sticking the flap without screws.
and getting hands close to the area where I have to apply glue

Anyways, I'm sure I'll be able to fix it after some brainstorming[cheers].

Good work Harish [clap]. Actual it should be done by TML.

When I went to book Zest QJD, I did ask the Mud in engine bay issue. Initially both SA and assistant manager acted as if there is nothing like that and looked blank faced. Later when I persisted, SA told TML is aware of this and he will update me on this. Whereas assist manager told new cars are being taken care of this. Not sure how much true..

Thank you Guys for the encouragement [:D]
I wish I know how to make plastic molds so that I can make the part required as an fix on solution.
If I can get the plastic rim around wheel wells dismantled , easily we can apply a fix for this issue.
The only problem is a permanent fix is possible only by screwing it, but I don't want to make hole as later TML might come up with a professional fix.

TML if you are reading this, I'm looking for a domain and job change :lol!:

Interestingly when I went to book my Zest in Delhi and when inquired about this issue, the SA feigned ignorance and his manager was even more aggressive in denying this issue but when I persisted, he started telling other people around that some people are out to malign Zest and TATA on Internet for some very minor issues and that there is no such issue at all. If anyone from sales dare to say that again, just take them to their own TD vehicle, open the engine bay and make him peep inside and look behind the head light assembly .

I really cant understand why cant they acknowledge the issue and just fix it.
living in denial doesnt help. Today I read in Hindu that Honda is replacing some part of the air bag assembly for more than 4k Vehicles including 1K+ Amaze.
Whats wrong in it, If there is a mistake, admit it and fix it.[anger]

True. Many potential buyers must be waiting for TML to first rectify such kind of issues and take care of TATA's brand image which unfortunately is not so good in the market.
They can's afford to disappoint customers at this stage. [anger]

Nice job,Its high time TML fixed this issue, rather than waiting it out and create a negative publicity for the car. From the pictures, its not that hard to fix this issue at the production level itself. It will be a confidence booster for the people who bought the car trusting TML to produce a niggle free car from the beginning.
Please post the step by step photos of DIY job so that others can follow it too.

The issue is if they accept publicly that will be a news and potential buyers, who are not so internet savvy, will also know about this and back out from buying plans.

How is the quality of mats and how much did they cost you ? They aren't 3D mats right, I thought you've ordered a 3D mat ?
Quality is good. I like the feel of carpet under the shoes. It feels premium.
Cost and links I've updated in the previous post.

I first ordered 3d mats from ebay. The seller later communicated that item is not available for zest.
Checked out a few universal 3d mats and didn't like the build material. Its just hard rexine type and felt will be slippery.

So I started looking for other options and found carpet mats to be the best. easily absorbs mud and dust and feels good.
