Renault India begins testing the facelifted Duster SUV.
The Duster facelift features minor changes in the form of blacked out headlamps, a revised front grille, additional cladding and souped up interiors.
Interestingly, the facelifted Duster will get a crucial differentiating feature in the form of a 4X4 mechanism, a feature that could position the SUV as an alternative to other soft roaders such as the Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra Quanto. The Duster equipped with 4X4 function will be targeted at SUV enthusiasts interested in taking their SUVs off the road, where a 4X4 system could prove to be very handy. The 4X4 option will be offered on the top-end, 110 PS variant of the Duster Diesel. The 85 PS diesel and the 105 PS petrol Dusters will continue to be front wheel driven

Vishwas, if you split the bill, almost half of it (plus tax) is accounted for due to the synthetic oil. My friend is always offered an option to refill with mineral oil or synthetic oil but he choses to go with synthetic.

Go with mineral oil and one is looking at something less than Rs. 5000 which is very reasonable for a car like the Duster.

Off -topic: Whats with the Enjoy? Why so serious?

this is the anniversary edition i was talking about that i saw on road a couple of times with stickers and badge of anniversary edition and this new shade.

Dear, recently Renault Duster Adventure edition was launched with new and upgraded features. The new Renault Duster Adventure comes loaded with several new brownies like door side sill, smoked headlights, 'armouring' on headlamps, contours all around the body, cladding on wheel arches and side mouldings. It also features Adventure emblem on the tailgate D-pillar, while the alloy wheels have been changed to make it look different from regular model. This SUV is set for sale at a cost of Rs. 12.18 lakh .

Renault to launch Duster 4X4 by end of 2014 in India.

The 4X4 version of Duster’s production has started at the Renault-Nissan joint manufacturing plant in Chennai, India, from where it is exported to other countries like Ireland and UK under the brand Dacia.

In the UK, the 4X4 Duster is available in two engine options, petrol and diesel. However, in India, the petrol version is expected not to launch due to the rising petrol prices and the increasing demand for diesel engines in the country.

The diesel engine comes with a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine which produces a maximum power of 107 hp and peak torque of 240 Nm

I thought it'll be here sooner than that because the spy pics were caught long back I remember. Anyways, the Indian market doesn't have many options to chose from in the 4X4 segment, so would be a worthy addition in that list. Though I feel Renault should correct the pricing of all the variant of Duster by atleast 40-50k and price this 4X4 aggressively which I'm guessing would be available with the top-end RXZ variant only.

Any idea when the facelift is being launched in India?? I already have the 85ps Duster but waiting for the facelift to evaluate whether i can install those new headlight assembly in the old Duster!!

With the current rate of dusters selling, i don't think renault doesn't have immediate plans to facelift the duster, might go with cosmetic changes.

Well its been expected to see the facelift version atleast with some cosmetic changes launch of new duster, but nothing is yet been heard from the company or any spy shots for the same.

I have a duster 85PS RXL(O) model. Once the last block in the fuel guage is over i am getting the fuel low warning light. But then the distance to the pump gets reset to "--" in the display and i dont have any idea when the vehicle is going to stop.

I know its best to fill it up before this happens, but still any idea on how much fuel is still left in the tank once the low fuel indicator is lit.

This news is now confirmed. 4x4 coming up by End-2014. Renault has also managed to sell 1 Lakh units within 2 Years.

Normally there's upto 5 liters of fuel in the reserve but waiting for an occasion to use it is best avoided under all circumstances.
