Yes, this is true and exactly what is written on Renault's offer page. If you don't want to exchange your car, SA is still giving 30K exchange bonus if you provide copy of RC and insurance. This is for RXL and RXZ variants.

But what Vindan mentioned few posts earlier is 60K without exchange. This is new info and indeed 30K more discount is tempting.

I need to decide fast on this. Already booked the vehicle.

Update:

My SA keeps pushing me to go for RXL 110 stating more discounts and more powerful engine. I think discounts on RXL 110 are of the tune of 60K without exchange which is good deal if you don't bother about SatNav & Alloy wheels.

Re: Renault Duster Road Test Drive Review

Ha ha. I still think its wayyyyyyyy overpriced. For once, I'd love to see Renault's costing data - am sure they are reaping HUGE margins on the Duster since day one of its launch. Wonder why can't they absorb a 2%-4% hike in input/dollar costs, knowing perfectly well that vehicles like the Ecosport are within sniffing distance of breaking their BNP Paribas - La banque d'un monde qui change ?

On second thoughts, maybe they need the hike to offset the losses made by their duds:lol!:.

Re: Renault Duster Road Test Drive Review

the price hike is a tactic made to clear their inventory of the year end.
December is a sluggish season , and they might not be wanting to sell their cars on discount.

Re: Renault Duster Road Test Drive Review

Booked my car. Will be getting delivery during weekend. I think I got decent discount considering "mechanically equivalent Terrano" doesn't have any.

Comparing 85 PS RXL(O) with XL(D) Plus, you get SatNav + Steering mounted controls which makes up for dull interiors.

Duster was value for money when launched. Renault got greedy and increased prices twice. Now since you get good discount so it makes up for that.

More details soon!

The front looks far more cooler than the present one. Is there rear pics? I personally don't like the present gen Duster's rear.

Its looks the same except the chrome strip replaced with plastic. IMO, it looks way better than current one and the green color add to the looks. Pity we will never see that color in India. [frustration]

well, in the pic. The chrome strip and the rear tail lights looks different. Not sure if it has been changed. Can comment about it only when seen in flesh.

Re: Renault Duster Road Test Drive Review

Ok. So the eagle has landed and my woodland brown Duster is Home.

For someone like me who upgraded from Alto, it is a sea change. Love the torque in 2nd gear and the way it steers ahead even without accelerator input. This little beast looks great in Woodland Brown.

Will start an ownership thread soon. Need some mileage under my belt before I can actually write something about it. SatNav, trip computer, sound quality is totally acceptable to me only if I could adjust with reverse wiper/indicator stalk positioning [frustration]

More to come soon. Till then...Drive safe

Re: Renault Duster Road Test Drive Review

My friend's Duster got, er, done and dusted. Here's the damage and the labour rate for various jobs:
Duster's repaired now. Took a week. Here are the images and the bill. Friend had to pay Rs. 1680 out of his pocket - zero dep insurance; Rs. 1000 for the survey and Rs. 6xx for salvage of metal parts. Says Nirmal Cars, Udaipur did a neat repair job. Got it serviced as well - Rs 7xxx (used synthetic oil). 35000 km on the odo in 10 months. Been to Leh and back without a hiccup. Steady 15 kmpl in city, 18-22 kmpl on highway depending on how its driven. Zero reliability problems till date apart from a broken door handle.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, yeah[clap].

Re: Renault Duster Road Test Drive Review

Guys, after a fiasco with Ford over their 1.0 Ecosport, i'm now in the market for a petrol Duster. I would prefer the 1.2TCe engine, if it ever gets launched here, else the 1.6 NA motor that's currently available.
The Renault/Nissan dealers in Gurgaon do not have petrol Duster/Terrano available for test drives nor will they get those. Thus, would appreciate your experiences/knowledge on the performance of the petrol Duster. Am not really keen on mileage but more concerned about the adequacy of power for the large vehicle.

Cheers!
