Checked the new Xylo on Saturday. Man... its nice. Infact when viewed from the front profile
ONLY, even the Scorpio looks dated.
As Xover mentioned, I dint feel the headlights were yuck at all. Infact they were pretty stylish & the whole design is now very complete & trendy.
Only the side profile is still tall and flat but that's expected from an MUV.
PS: Aria's profile is lower than Safari. But what do you say about 16" rims in Xylo?
Arre Xover, the Aria has been designed with 17" & the Safari has been designed with 16".
Similarly, the Xylo has been designed with 15" because they had to make a budget family mover. Every car will look good with huge rims, no doubt, but budget is also a factor, right?
Why does TATA not give Indica with 16" rims? It will look fab... Would you then buy the Vista for 7 Lacs? Similarly, if the new Xylo had to come with 16" alloys
& with the same profile (aspect ratio) as before, then they would have to heavily alter the basic design which would increase the costs substantially.
With the same design, if they try to accommodate 16" wheels, that would mean low profile rubber, which would affect the ride quality. For a basic family mover, what's more important - ride comfort or how sexy the wheels are?
Remember, Xylo is not an SUV or a crossover like the Aria or Safari, so dont compare it with them. it is built for a different set of customers.
