So looks like we'll be getting same trims sold in Thailand/Malaysia. But there its available with 1.5 L iVTEC engine while we'll be getting 1.2 P, 1.5 D. CVT is a great addition.
Some of the features we might miss,
1. 7 inch Touch Audio
2. Cruise Control
3. Side & Curtain Airbags
4. LED DRLs

Looking at specifications of the Thai version, the version in spyshots looks like Mid Trim. So there might be a Top End one with bigger Alloys, Fog Lamps and other add ons.

Lets waits for some more details regarding specs of Indian Version then. I am assuming the Indian & Thailand versions to be similar with some minor differences.

Previous generation of Jazz had two variants with Alloys and the current City also has two variants with alloys. So, I dont think Honda will do any different with the new Jazz.

Import results for Honda Jazz from zauba makes it clear that Honda has imported paddle shifters, torque converter boxes and audio systems with the same part number as that of City. Honda has also imported Fog lamp modules. These might be part of the top end model which is very welcome

There is also mention about 185/55R16 tires, but also says "EXPORT MODEL FOR HONDA JAZZ" so we cannot be sure if it is for Indian model or not

I am still very optimistic that Honda will not cheat those waiting for Jazz by giving them a bare-bone Jazz. Come on, they give fog lamps even in Brio how would they skip it in the Jazz.

Honda plans to bring back its premium hatchback Jazz in July 2015. (delay?)
Jazz will be the only new launch in 2015 for Honda in India.

The new Jazz is expected to offer higher fuel efficiency and several new features, including first-inits-class paddle gear shift system, which allows drivers to switch gear without using the clutch pedal

Then when will Civic, CRV Diesel, Accord be launched ?
I think Honda is aiming for higher localization and lower price tag, that might be the reason for delay. Surprised to see it being the only launch of 2015.

IMO, Accord in 2016. Civic for India not yet decided. CRV -Diesel in 2016.

I am still very optimistic that Honda will not cheat those waiting for Jazz by giving them a bare-bone Jazz. Come on, they give fog lamps even in Brio how would they skip it in the Jazz.

For Honda to start the price of a premium hatchback at 4.95 L there must be an E variant of Jazz, which wil be a bare bone one, with no EORVMs, no alloys or wheel caps, no foglamps, keyless entry and ICE unit. IMO CVT and safety features will be avialble in variants from S(O) and above only.

Friends,

Update on Jazz after interaction with the C.R.O of Honda Cars India, Greater Noida and Honda ASC in Noida today morning.

The dealership did not give any clear cut answer for the launch of New Jazz 2015. They were expecting that the same may be launched in June or July 2015.

Their GM sales had no clue about this car nor the Civic.

After having meeting with dealership's GM went to H.C.I Greater Noida. Over there had spoken to the C.R.O and then he informed that Jazz is expected to launch in FY-2015-2016. Exact month of launch is yet unknown. However, its confirmed that it is not coming in January 2015.

CEO of Honda Car India had earlier confirmed a March 2015 launch for the Jazz hatchback in a TV interview. Is there any official news from Honda after this?. I think Paddle shifters in Jazz will be a first of its kind thing in a non-Luxury car in Indian market. Only petrol models will have paddle shifters, any latest news?

PS: I wish some of our influential members had a discussion with the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Mr. Nitin Gadkari too, on impact of excise benefits withdrawal, and new budget in car prices in 2015, and shared the outcome with fellow members.

Well, I meant Honda will not give us a bare bone top-end That was mainly in response to friends who think the spied Jazz is the top-end model just coz it had alloys. My point is that Honda will definitely give a fully loaded top-end model also.

In fact, V & VX versions contribute 60% of City sales. I have attached the image of terms on offer in Thailand. We might get the same here.

I guess sunroof will be omitted. But Honda should give Cruise control at least in the CVT automatic models. Safety features like 6 airbags and ESC will be given a miss for sure. The top end will come with dual airbags and ABS + EBD. Touchscreen audio unit will also be replaced by City's audio system. Keyless go might also be omitted.

Friends, was checking for Honda Jazz related Imports in zauba.com and found an interesting import. CVT for Honda Jazz 1.5L 2WD. Does this mean that Honda is at least contemplating on giving City's 1.5L pertol to Jazz also??? If Yes, Im already sold
