If someone drives his machine like mad well the machine is skoda rapid or bmw x3 it will topple if some one hits it straight on a pole or median at top speed,

Every machines advantage has its own disadvantage
Drive safer and sensibly it will return good mileage, comfort and long life

Not just strangers even friends do challenge and tempt you to cross your and cars extreme limits, but keep controlling self and machine is good always.

Ecosport and Duster both have a tendency to topple when met with a rigid obstacle headon. You can see NCAP test videos on youtube to compare Ecosport on one hand and Vento (Rapid's cousin) on another.

In the frontal collision slow-mo, you can clearly see the rear of the Ecosport lift a foot up in the air. Whereas Vento does not lift. That factor, IMO, is what makes the mini-SUVs more prone to toppling compared to sedan.

With due care, nothing that is alarming.

You are very correct Bopanna, in fact I put up two videos of crash test of Ecoboost and Honda City and specifically mentioned about here

Simple physics, tall boy be careful [;)] High speed collision expect a topple. Can't blame Ford, they called it 'Urban SUV' [clap]

Vicky!!! Congrats to you on two counts.
1. For owning the most awaited car
2. For taking the time to write this review
I ve booked the Ecoboost Titanium and a little confused as the mileage as i hear is around 11 -12 KmPL. So was thinking about the Diesel trend version (the one you own). On reading your review most of my doubts were answered and now plan to opt for it.
However I have a few more clarifications:
1. What is the use of the "Phone" button in the music cluster?
2. Is the internal rear view mirror photo chromatic or just antiglare?
3. Since I have not bought any alloys before, will the after market alloys be more expensive / less than the ones provided by dealer?
4. Are leather covers for steering wheel available?

Thanks again for the wonderful review and your time!

Thanks Jude!
Phone button is used for instant phone dialing provided your phone is connected with the car.
Its antiglare only.
It wil surely be cheaper than the ones provided by the dealer buddy but again it depends on the brand you are looking for.
Ya its available aftermarket but not with the standard accessories list provided with the dealer.

Hi Vicky,

You have a trend right?? then how come you have instantaneous mileage meter that shows you fuel economy?
Ya it has instantaneous mileage meter which varies depending on the accelerator input we give. its on the top portion of the digital display between the dials.

"Phone button is used for instant phone dialing provided your phone is connected with the car."
Does this mean that even in the Trend variant we can still connect the phone to the car and make calls (Though manually without voice commands as in sync)?

Yes Jude, it has bluetooth through which u can make calls from you car's mic and speakers. yes its manual. You can also receive the calls from your steering controls.

@MSN1
He has already touched 120 kmph :) so was just asking at what rpm did 100 come. As you say he should not be testing it just for replying.
