@all I took it for a spin today. The dynamics of the car makes me go WOW! Took a carefull U turn in a empty patch of road outside chennai at around 50-60 km/hr and the car was tightly gluing to the road. Perfectly no body roll. It was like the car will ask "What's exactly body roll brother?" [clap]

MSN1, I support your thoughts man and share the same feelings.
And, Vicky90, you are having some real fun with your latest acquisition and with such adventures thrown in, we are getting huge hiccups in the stomach.[evil]

Haha friends, just helping all prospectives know more about the car :)
I seriously now understand why 2 instances of toppling occured. The dynamics are just brilliant and its damn difficult to control ourselves from pushing it hard. [frustration]

Accept and appreciate your courage for jumping in first and for being a pioneer in guiding us on how to handle this new monster,

i belong to the genre that doesn't want to book the vehicle before launch and dont want a bet on before knowing the price, in some other brands we are sure of alot of niggles and issues on newly launched vehicle, but on ford they used to cut few futures / gadgets or goodies after some time instead of hiking the price. (example New fiesta)

even if their are some niggles in ford vehicle their is nothing to worry about because ford is the bold company that doesn't bother to recall or accept if they are at fault (am not blindly telling this "its what i experienced with ford figo)

Not yet neel. I am planning to go this weekend for leather seats, reverse parking sensors and probably 3m for underbody rust protector.
[clap]
That is great. Let me know where you get your leather seats etc as I will also be looking for leather seats when my Ecosport arrives. 3M underbody coating is a must for our road and weather conditions.

Did you Ecosport come with MRF tyres or Goodyear tyres? Are you also planning to get the floors covered with PVC?

Mine has come with MRFs which is not bad. I am looking for some nice leather seats at a demanding price aftermarket but I am not sure if they have arrived at the mecca of car accessories in chennai, GP road nandanam etc.
Anyone to guide me here? :help:

Vicky the search feature..

Also I would suggest you go for the Rear Parking sensor with Camera instead of just the parking sensors. Get it installed from a local shop. I had confirmed with the dealer as well, your warrany will not be void unless there is any cut in wiring.

I confirmed, installing the sensors will not cut any wires, instead they will just touch the wires with the reverse parking lights. So the moment you gut on the reverse gear the reverse lights will be on and the camera and sensors will be on as well. Also Sensors with camera costs arnd 7000 only.

Its just a one time investment.dont go for the sensors only, get the camera as well.

Congrats Vicky. Excellent choice (vehicle and color) and VERY tempting write up. To avoid downshifting to 2nd gear at 40kph, you will have to watch the rpm. Take her out on the Highway for establishing faster connect with the machine and tell us your experience.

If you really want to secure the rear mounted spare wheel ..... put a small godreg lock.
Have a look at the link below on spare wheel lock nut:
Wheel Locks
The Mfr says "The codes for the antitheft wheel locks and keys are generated with a computer system for virtually infinite variants". It may be true, but the pattern looks similar to that in your post. Why don't you check if your unlock tool fits other cars in showroom ? If it doesn't you are cool. If it fits, you better improvise on MSN1's suggestion.

Congratulations on your new acquisition buddy. [clap] and also for the first ownership review on TAI.

Rating this thread with 5* as well for nicely written review. But do post more reviews and any mods planned so far?

Also what's the FE you getting as of now?

Actually we need keep two of this wheel lock nut keys together to see they are ditto identical or its different

If you want to spend more money then buy the spare wheel cover from ford because it comes with a special lock.

Thanks buddy but I dont want other parties drilling a hole on my bumper and letting it badly covered leading to some leaks. Thats why going for dealer for the sensors. Even if the dealer does not do it properly I can very well go to him and get it done properly. Thats why. But 7k for the whole setup seems very tempting. Will have a serious look at it.

But till now, I never had an issue in reversing except the left rear fender part. Thats why decided to go for sensors.

@Vicky90

How are the headlamp performance at night? Is it adequate or does it require any upgrade from stock bulbs?
The headlamp performance is very adequate for me as of now neel.

Thanks a lot Vijay. I took her out for a ride on highways and have shared my experience a few pages back. This little monster is a blast on highways. Enjoying every U turn I do with her.

Thanks singh. I have planned for seat covers, black vinyl or matte black roof, rear sensors and alloys.
I get very good FE for the first few days of ownership [:)] its hovering around 20-22 mostly with full AC with city and highway mixed driving with a light foot maintaining less than 2200 rpm and 85kmph.

I can imagine the smile on your face doing those "U-turns"[;)]

Those are pretty good FE numbers you are putting up, given the engine has still not broken-in properly and the weight it is lugging around.[:)]

Unable to control the urge today, pushed her to around 120+. It was gluing on to the road throughout.

Moreover the steering really weighs up so well at higher speeds. Really rediscovering her and myself with such encounters [;)]
