No signs of such Karthik. In fact it was begging for more think it will make nearly 145 kmph without much strain.

Unable to control the urge today, pushed her to around 120+. It was gluing on to the road throughout.

Moreover the steering really weighs up so well at higher speeds. Really rediscovering her and myself with such encounters [;)]
I get very good FE for the first few days of ownership [:)] its hovering around 20-22 mostly with full AC with city and highway mixed driving with a light foot maintaining less than 2200 rpm and 85kmph.
Those are pretty good FE numbers considering that running in period is not yet completed. I think the engine would open up after 10k kms. Glad to hear that the steering weighs up very well. The max that I could do during TD was 65 kmph on busy OMR road and it felt fine.

Hi all
Thanks a tonne everyone. Very encouraging. Will update the thread very often .

And the mods I am planning to make are

Rear sensors
Leather seats
Roof Rails
Alloy Wheels aftermarket
Hey Vicky, congrats Bro though its bit late [cheers]. Have you mounted the Roof Rails (How much did you shall out for Roof Rails) and were you able to fix the after market Alloy, and how much did you pay for the lather seats. Sorry for too many questions but I want to have the same fixed to my machine.

Appreciate if you could please share the pics with those accessories on your ES.

And once again congrats on your white Machine, happy driving Bro [drive]

Thanks a lot nick :) I have not made any mods till now . I have enquired seat retailers and dealer about rear sensors. he says sensors have not arrived to them and that he will inform once he gets them . I will go for alloys a few days later and roof rails only at last.

Hi Vicky, How are you calculating the FE? Does it show in the instrument cluster? Can you please let me know what are the options we have in Trend like for eg. Trip 1, Trip2, Total Km counter. Only these 3 or we have more[confused]?

Hi neel. I am calculating FE using the trip meter and instantaneous mileage meter buddy. Using tankfull to tankfull methods we can do it.

It does glow once we check out of the car but dims away in a few seconds DJD.

Sorry for being late, but congrats on the B-E-A-ST. Truly an amazing package! [clap]
Thanks Bayern [:)]

Ford Ecosport Ownership Review,Handling Question

Today an acquaintance(friends friend) & me had a little argument. He said EcoSport is a Flop(present tense not future tense in meaning). I said how can you say that & another friend added there were around 30,000 bookings in waiting. Then that guy was like two cars were toppled by journalists. To which i added that i only knew one had(i guess i am right). So cos the car could be toppled its a flop.
I told him until the car has an Electronic Stability Program almost all decent cars can be toppled. That should not make one call it a flop rather maybe a flaw.I told him Santro could be toppled at corners too that does not mean it was a flop.

I personally feel Ford wanted to bank on its ground clearance on this car for hatchback buyers & sedan users who would complain about gc but wanted a car with good gc.
Have many asked you about this?I feel other than space this toppling issue or concern is the next hurdle for this car in the public eye.

Now "vicky90" my question to you is
Have you made emergency lane changes(or similar) at above 80 & taken corners at high speed? If yes what is your opinion,is it the steering feel making the driver overconfident? Is there a hint of sway to alert the driver he is reaching the limits of the cars center of gravity?

Or do you feel the journalist was driving it like a Skoda RS [:)]
