Glad to know that you are getting your car by next week. One good thing in ecosport diesel is it's power delivery is almost linear and predictable. So you will not find any difficulty driving the ecosport diesel.
While shifting gear don't go by the vehicle speed. See the engine RPM. If you want good FE don't cross 2k RPM in ecosport diesel at the same time don't lug the engine. Try to keep the RPM in 1.3k - 2k range. Usually i am shifting in between 1.5 k - 2k RPM.
Also crossing the 2 K RPM during intial run In (at least initial 1600 KM) is a big no. See, in ecosport diesel you will get 90kmph @2k RPM in 5th gear. So limiting to 2K RPM will not be a issue i guess
