Congrats Vicky, loved your narration and frequent updates. Kindly continue that, so those who are similar to me (booked and waiting) will be eagerly looking into it. I am also from chennai, i have booked White ES D Titanium (o) but need to wait for 6 months [frustration] to get my machine home.

I have one query , whether the ORVM is completely foldable or will it remain in same position as it is? (i didn't noted that while booking).
The orvm is two way foldable buddy I.e. it moves or folds 180 degree .
Thanks and congrats for your beast you are gonna own a rock star in all senses . Rejoice and enjoy the monster. Even now after a month and 1500 kms people gaze my car with eyes filled with envy eagerly asking me the on road price and mileage [:)]

Hello Vicky,

Congrats on your baby :) Absolutely loved your reviews and the entire thread. Must also add that I joined TAI just because of this thread. Again thanking you for adding such insightful replies to everyone's queries.

And thanks for opening the other thread on options for Alloy wheels, even though I have not yet received the delivery of my ES, need to know which alloys do I go for - btw I totally love the OEM 16" ones that titanium model gets (and I have booked for an Ambiente).

Just like the others even I want to know in detail about the entertainment system on your trend model, how good is the Bluetooth sync and other details. (it can be anything from selecting songs to receving calls). Pics would be awesome as well.

Even I am wondering just like the others what have you planned to do with the 3.5" panel.

And sadly I am from Bangalore and even I need the same PU matte seat covers (sadly I cannot use the Leo accessories guy), wondering if anyone here can help me with that. Your seat covers are like [cheers][thumbsup]

Congrats on your new car Vicky. White looks awesome!

Are you not going for Fog lamps? Wont it be helpful with headlights positioned quite above the road ?

Hey thanks a lot ajith :) Welcome to TAI.
The Bluetooth is very useful and absolutely love it.
Before I enter the car I just switch on the BT of my mobile and get in. When I switch on the audio, the system directly starts playing the songs which were already playing. Initially i had some misunderstandings about the BT but now its all fine and eveyone who gets in the car appreciates the Quality of the music system.
Even I am scratching my heads for an economical replacement of the 3.5" display buddy.

Thanks prakash! Till now, I did not find any necessity for the fog lamps. Though I had to travel at 12 am in nights 12 days of the month in highways, I felt the headlights were sufficient.

No Vickey,

The use of Foglamps is not a necessity but it really looks awesome when all the 4 lights are on. From a distance it looks like a ranger. Also it covers up the empty space...

Can you please send in more pics and also the pic of the rear sensors as well as the unit inside.

Please update us with the Tank Full to Tank full Mileage :)...I still have not got mine yet. :(

Thanks for the details. Do let us know, incase you do anything with the 3.5" display.

Very relieved to hear that the audio system is real good and I can connect my phone via Bluetooth (hate cables running around). Btw does ur vehicle have 12V charging outlet ??

Just like Anisin84 even I have few doubts, the rear sensors you got from Ford they do not have any unit inside ryt ?? Just the audio feedback or does it display stuff on the 3.5" unit on the dashboard like the titanium versions. And how much did it cost ?

Now for the all important query, really not very happy with the stock tyres rims, need to get alloy wheels. And I must admit I am a big fan of the OEM alloys that titanium trim of the ES gets (crazy good alloys, even better than any aftermarkets ones). And the OEM alloys 16" (like the ones in titanium) are available at many outlets in Bangalore at a much better price - around 26k (and is much better than the 15" alloy wheels ford provides as accessories). But again we will face two issues, we will need to change stock types to 16" ones plus stand the risk of voiding the warranty of our suspension - so in a very confused state as what to do ?

Would love any kinda of response on this confused situation [:)] Money is a big constraint too [frustration]

Hey Vicky, did you get these sensors? This sensor has a LED display with Buzzer to show the distance between the car and object . I hope Ford provides a similar one though the price of the sensor is little high.

Simply buy. You'll know the car within 250km (on a highway) and drive within the characteristics of the car. I hope you are planning to corner hug at speeds of 100-110kph and not more than that. On a wide 4 lane road that will be ok, but that speed into a small arc will pose problems (depending on the radius). I'm pretty sure those toppling incidents are due to inexperienced drivers pushing the car like one would a sedan.
Which Variant You Have ? Update Mileage Pls. Thanks .... I plan to book 1.5 DV5 MT Ambiente but little bit confuse about rear seat fold and tied with front seat and get 750ltr boot space this facility is available or not

Rajith,You can safely go ahead with the after market 16 inch alloys, as it will not void any warranty on your machine since this tire size is provided by Ford itself in higher variants. You are not experimenting with something new in the car.

Even I hope the same. Was reading at couple of places that trend & ambiente comes only with 15" & we cant upgrade and stuff (many posts indicate this). Anyway nice to hear that it will not void any warranty. Did you speak to any dealer about this ???

Hi bro understand you. Ya mine has 12V charging socket but not 2 only 1 in front dashboard area.
I got those from Ford buddy. They dont give any video feedback. It gives beeps from a small unit fit to the boot area. Will post the pics explaining it soon.

Buddy getting any alloy wheels outside ford will VOID WARRANTY. I enquired ford customer care as I felt suspicious when my dealer said getting same 15" alloys outside wont void warranty. They confirmed that any alloys or accessories tempering any circuits or wheels will void warranties associated with it. They were very clear with it. Anyways I think the alloys which you want is from ford but got after market. I advice you to better talk to the customer care regarding this and make yourself clear. For me, I want to experiment with other stylish alloys available aftermarket but at the expense of warranty :(

Hi vicky in the reverse parking sensors that you get from ford does it have separate unit for display or do you see it in the dashboard ?
They dont give any video feedback. It gives beeps from a small unit fit to the boot area. Will post the pics explaining it soon.
