Hi vicky,

Thank you for continuously updating your driving experience and about your car. Most probably i will be getting my car in the next week. But today again i came accross the toppling of one more ecosport in the official ecosport review thread. I am a little bit worried now.

Can you please give your honest feedback about the handling of your ecosport and its behavior at triple digit speeds.

D.J.D ya I understand how you feel but as far as my 1300 odd kms has gone there has not been any one instance where mine has made me loose confidence. Its braking is good. At 90 kmph at around 12 30 am in morning had to make a sudden stop because of a truck and it was in its place better than how I thought it would be. Even I did not feel any kind of pitching in the car because of the sudden braking.

Have taken right turns at 40 kmph and the car had very less rolls. But owning to its height and raised CG and going by laws of physics it has chaces of toppling when hit upfront with a bang.
Even in the factory testers say it has excellent dynamics. Remember they test all kinds of cars at varied speed conditions.
Do not worry buddy! Stay calm and enjoy your ride :)
And congrats for your Beast [clap]

Simply buy. You'll know the car within 250km (on a highway) and drive within the characteristics of the car. I hope you are planning to corner hug at speeds of 100-110kph and not more than that. On a wide 4 lane road that will be ok, but that speed into a small arc will pose problems (depending on the radius). I'm pretty sure those toppling incidents are due to inexperienced drivers pushing the car like one would a sedan.

Hi ! Congrats on your booking and I did not consider the chrome grill but the price it arounf 2.9k only for the whole set up in the front as far as I know as it comes as a set.
For me, I felt the greyish paint to the grill was looking more than fine [:)]

Two weeks gone and covered 900 kms :) and ya even I was kind of taken aback once when the speed kind of misleaded me . But the brakes too are so good [:D]
On a serious note we need to seriously learn to be controlled in the quiet environment which ford has given.

Ditto Naveen but here it was a qualis

@all Connected my car with reverse sensors today.
Ordered a Matte finish covers for the seats steering which will be fitted by Tuesday or Wednesday and 3m underbody coating coming soon in two weeks :)
Hi Vicky,

Congrats. I can see you are having a good time with your Trend. I am a newbie here. I have booked a Trend Diesel and I am expecting delivery this week.

I have opted for only Fog lamps from the dealer. I need reverse camera very badly but Ford do not have reverse camera with sensors. Where did you install your sensors from? From where you installed did they have reverse cameras with me? If so how much was the cost?

Hi venkat! Congrats on your car .
I installed reverse sensors with ford only and it cost around 3500. They do not have reverse camera with sensors. May be they have it as separate accessory and you can install them as 2 separate accessories. But I think the camera will have some type of sound alarm. Do confirm with your dealer.

Congrats Vicky, loved your narration and frequent updates. Kindly continue that, so those who are similar to me (booked and waiting) will be eagerly looking into it. I am also from chennai, i have booked White ES D Titanium (o) but need to wait for 6 months [frustration] to get my machine home.

I have one query , whether the ORVM is completely foldable or will it remain in same position as it is? (i didn't noted that while booking).

@Vicky90: Congrats! Vicky on your prized acquisition. I'm a newbie here and found your review extremely well written with pics that added juice to the text. I've booked a Silver Ecoboost titanium and am expecting delivery around Diwali. Though i must say White looks lovely on it. [:D]

wondering on the following:
1. Do the headlights provide adequate visibility or is there a need to upgrade. On a related note, would changing the bulbs to 'white lights' (of similar 60/55W strength) void warranty?
2. The rubber cladding all around the sides and bumper seems to be of the type which would fade with time. Would you recommend any 3M types of treatment to preserve it?

Once again, congrats and 'happy miles munching' with the beast.
