Wow eagerly awaiting its India launch. Wiper addition is great. Also less glass area at rear is also a good move, will make it more acceptable to larger crowd. But the chrome bar looks bad in my opinion - totally out of place and looks forced.

There's a variant of Brio sold in India that has defogger and wiper. I think it's in the high end automatic variant. My friend has it.

i think Indian launch will come soon , but they should bring some kit for older Brio to get wipers for Indian customers , but i think it is not possible since whole glass hatch will have to be changed to get it done , which means price will be huge , so we will be stuck with current rear .

Honda Brio gets an upgrade in Thai market. They have added a Rear wiper-washer unit. The full glass rear door has been reduced and added a plate at the lower end. Not sure on its Indian launch yet.

Many Indian customers went to other brands due to lack of Rear wiper and washer unit , this will pull new customers but older customers will feel cheated [frustration]

They might just allow us to get the wiper-washer combo fixed at a cost. Who knows !! Yet to be seen. I have not really felt its need that much yet. I am happy with the product until now [:)]

They had to change whole full glass rear door to integrate Rear wiper and washer unit , so what if cost for whole change is 25-35k ?

No the cost can't go so high. As I have to replace the rear glass few months back and it was for around 3K, so I guess it can go to max of 5K in my opnion.

I am not sure of the cost but its definitely not that high. The tuf glass will not cost you that high. Max may be around 7-8k for the whole kit. If you are not happy with it, you have to have it changed. Why was that not considered at the time of purchase ? I rarely open the rear. probably twice a week or so. It is going strong thogh. Else jus manage to break it (after the launch of the model with wipers)and get the glass through honda insurance [;)]

Sorry mods for back to back posts, am not finding the way to delete my previous post.

I wonder what makes people buy a Honda car without rear defogger. And wonder how it's ok for a company like Honda to sell a car without rear defogger.

issue will not be changing the rear , but the wiring and giving a button to operate it at the drivers corner.

motor for wipers . New Rear Glass hatch , internal wiring and button , i doubt it will come around 8-10k , but Rear wiper is not absolutely necessary , but in heavy rains while taking reverse it can come handy .

I will wait for Honda to offer some kit for old brio users , if price is too high then i will go for reverse parking camera , which i think can do better job

Thats the reason I was into the budget of changing the rear. Even with the wiper motor I think it should be done with 10k if not 8k.
