I am driving for more than 3 years. Owned an alto lxi till recently. Owned brio couple of weeks back. Got this plan for a trek. Thats when this happened.

This should not be happening man.
I am driving my Brio for over an year now, but have never faced an issue with the beautifully refined engine of Brio.
Try revving a bit more as Nitin said. If nothing works, get it checked at ASS.

Have you driven in the hilly areas before this experience of your's ? Have you had this issue before or is it the first time buddy ?

Have got my 1st service (or check-up) pending in 3 days time. Do I change my engine oil + filter at first service? Is it recommended to do so ?

Hi Ajay,
First service is just a routine service. Nothing much to say, nothing much to do.
Oil & filter change is done in the 2nd service i.e. after 6 months interval. I wd suggest, stick to the Honda service schedule.

yeah but i have heard some people talk about "metallic flakes" that the engine leaves into the oil and makes it dirty. So, just wanted to ask will it effect the engine performance in any way (during the break-in atleast) ? Filter change can be done after 6 months.

These are the stats of our brio baby minutes before the 1st service. I have not reset the ODO from the day we purchased. How true is this fe meter ?? Heard people say that the meter readings aren't accurate and hence they follow the tank-full method.
I have done 2 tank fulls and on calculation I get it as ~15.7kmpl. Can some1 here point out to me the cause of difference of the 0.5kmpl ???

That's a good FE fig you got. Normally there is a deviation from the MID and actual FE's(full tank method) even i found it don't why there is a deviation.
I generally gets 13-13.5 kmpl with 30-40% AC in b2b B'lore traffic. Don't know when B'lore traffic will be ease.![[frustration]](https://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/images/smilies/Frustration.gif "Frustration [frustration]")

Yeah.. I am from Trivandrum where we got quite a few places to trek and has done lots. The alto (which lacked power, the main reason I sold it out) didn't troubled me in any of them. But with brio I had a very hard time driving through hills. Except that it was good. Great FE I got in good roads. Even touched 21.5 on highway in one occasion. Superb handling. Fair gear shifts. Very good OEM music system, air conditioner, etc.
