Ajay, how effective are the door guards?
They are effective on the highways. When you keep the windows slightly open there is an irritating sound of wind getting inside the cabin. Window visors will just cut that off to an extent. And one more plus is you can keep the windows rolled down 5-10 cms when you park your vehicles under the sun. It will reduce (NOT COMPLETELY) the cabin being heated under the sun. It will also prevent suffocation during the monsoons. The rain water slides off and falls on the glassy part of the window and prevents water from entering the cabin when you roll down the windows slightly during the monsoons.

Great, thanks for the additional info on Window visors.

I was checking on the door protectors / guards which you have. I-pop i guess. How effective are they?

^^ [lol][lol] How did I get that wrong.
Haven't really found its use as such yet. Thats just a precaution. Just in case somebody in the car bangs it against the wall or co-parked vehicle while opening it to get out of the car.

[lol], thats alright.

Meanwhile, i also thought about its application, but then, after watching this video, made me think. And i thought its total waste.

How about window visors? Any respite from fog formation inside the cabin during monsoon, after rolling the glass slightly down during downpours?

Yeah I have bought them for the same reason. Someone might just bang the edge of the door on the wall or a parallely parked vehicle. But there ain't any "sumo" in our family or friends as of now yet[;)]
In our recent trip to tirumala hills window visors were helpful. The car was covered with mist when we started in the morning. We turned on the Defogger for a minute and it was gone. Switched defogger off and it was there again. This time I rolled down the windows slightly. There was that fog but it didn't build that fast. It took its own time. But yeah I didn't have to keep turning the AC on and off everytime with the visors in place

Hi Ajay,
What else have you done on your brio apart from break light and drls?
What is the use of extra break light?

I am quite afraid of any electronic modification as that may lead to issues when claiming warranty. I have generally bought small stuff for my brio.... like tyre pressure gauge, foot pump, corner protector, shampoo, wax etc.

Ahh well. Nothing really. But have a couple of mods queued up.
Philips xtreme headlamps
Carbon vinyl wrap on the roof
Not sure when these will be put on. Will post whenever done [:)]

I like the flash that it comes with. Everytime you brake you get it flashing. This is why I had this installed. But the real use is similar to foglights. It is important your car gets noticed on those foggy days.

Warranty will be voided only if the wires are cut. You will be safe until you dont cut them. The other things that you have mentioned are important too. Especially the corner protectors.

Recently during 3rd Service, 3M Exterior Surface Refinement was done. The bill was Rs.2200 (incl Taxes). Which kind of mats do you have currently in Brio ?.

I don't think tints of any type are allowed now.
Though I still have 70% transparency tints installed but anyone can hardly tells the difference.

2500km trip will be great...

This month me too going for a trip of 1K kms... to himachal.
I have updated the single horn to dual skoda type horn and I can feel the difference.
