V MT. ABS-EBD but no airbags. At the risk of sounding silly, I don't want airbags. Lucky for me that Brio has option for ABS and no airbag in this trim. I feel uncomfortable driving small vehicles with driver airbag. It's an incurable phobia. Hope it doesn't cost me.
Mine too is V MT but Airbags are present, after I bought it in March 2013, Honda updated the Brio in May 2013 and added some features & V was replaced by VX which Ajay owns & is the one in this thread. So, If you're ok with just ABS it's fine.

Any Brio owners having urban titanium (UT) colour here? Does this colour show more dirt than usual non-dirt pullers like silver? I ask because my Alto 800 (glistening grey) and i10 (grey) are quite a pain to wash frequently because dust starts showing some hours after a tiring wash. I have made up my mind about getting the Brio. It's down to which colour now. Have set sights on UT, but wondering if it would show dust easily as my other two cars. UT colour Brio owners, your observation will come in handy for me.

hi roadrunner,

I was very tempted to get the UT but I went with the rally red. Till date i didnt regret the choice. The beauty looks the best when red hot[;)]
End of the day, color choices are subjective but it all depends on how well the color is maintained

The home minister wants red obviously [:D], but since I will be doing most of the driving I'd go with UT. I might change my mind to plain old untrendy silver at the last moment too; that doubt is still there. The thought of having to wash two grey cars and the planned Brio UT scares me, because I am sure UT will need cleaning often next to grey (and black). Never thought choosing a colour would be difficult. It's not that I keep my rides dirty. Far from it. I'm more concerned about dust showing up too quickly after a wash as it happens with the two grey cars.

Another add-on question from me: After the first free service, I am thinking of doing a long Delhi-Udaipur-Jaisalmer run. Would it be too harsh for the new engine to do this long stretch (approx 2,500 km) in the second month, even if I did the running-in properly before the first service?

Urban Titanium is Brownish Grey and not complete Grey like Swift, Polo etc. And hence the dirt isn't always visible. The dust actually blends with this color, this same thing made me choose over other colors. Red & Black are trendy, silver is decent.

IMO Its absolutely fine to do a long stretch with a new car, even when it is straight out of the showroom. Be careful and dont get too tempted to vrrrooooom the i-vtec during the initial run-in period. Keep the RPM's where they need to be and in general dont do triple digit speeds too often during the first 3 months or 1500 kms.

Hi Roadrunner,
I don't think there should be a problem in going for a looong drive after the first service, given the fact that oil change should have happened in the first service.

Thanks,

Hi Roadrunner,

Only referring to your quandary on colour...that before buying my white VXMT 2 years ago, I decided to stay away from red as I'd driven 2 red cars earlier. Husband liked UT and I decided to be different and chose white...and that's really been a sore point with me as the realization of white being a tough exterior to maintain dawned upon me pretty quickly! Now each time I see a UT on roads, I kick myself for not going for it :)
So...go for whatever but white! Red is cool, UT is cooler, silver is just fine :)

Does your VMT have fog lights?

The V MT I saw at Lajpat Nagar Honda, couple of months ago, didn't have fog lights. I have since moved on to buying Jazz diesel. But with the Delhi government uncertain about diesel cars and the NGT giving bad vibes I have postponed my buy for now. With rumours of new generation Brio coming in 2017 I don't think it's a wise move to get a Brio next year.

I guess they have eliminated fogs from VMT and moved it up to VX version.

I have decided to buy Brio this month after selling my 2006 Swift petrol. I know there are other newer cars like i10 Grand, i20 Elite and Baleno, but I was impressed by the engine and quality of this car. Infact I like the rear glass hatch design (though it would have been nicer if it had better designed bumper that protrudes outwards)

The main purpose of this car is going to office in the city, so no point in buying larger car.

I was going for SMT earlier but upgraded to VMT because of ABS/EBD+Alloys. I know it is slow selling car, but an informed customer doesnt go with the herd mentality.

I had shown the same JDP report to a couple of my friends when they had concerns over buying a brio[;)]

Do post a review bro. Welcome to the brio family

Got my VMT and I am very impressed with the car. My old car was a Swift and after driving this for 2 weeks I can say that I will not touch the swift again.
Positives-
1) Very light and nippy. Great acceleration, super smooth engine and quality. Its fun working the gear shifter.
2) Earlier, I wanted to avoid driving in city traffic, but this car makes me want to drive more.
3) Good suspension, not too hard or soft.

Negatives-
1) Steering does not weigh up on highways, I am hoping it will improve with time. Rear wheel slightly bumpy- make sure rear tyres have less air than front.
2) The volume contol on the steering are bit hard. There was minor vibration on 3rd gear. I have resolved it myself.
3) Dealers dont easily give spare parts

I have also discovered some technicals of this car will share it in technical-zone if required.
