Hi folks,
Its time for the 6month service now and I have booked an appointment for today. I find the problems as listed below and hopeful that will get it solved in the service. planning for a quick wax ad polish straight after service.

-Rigid gear shift(lowering from 3rd to second)
-dashboard rattling noise.(guess its something related to airbags fitting)
-Sound from the boot on uneven roads(spare tyre not screwed properly)
-paint touch ups on scratches on bumpers
-Right indicator goes off before turning

Done with the second service. Got the normal formalities(oil change, filter change etc) and my problems were taken care of well too. It was quite a satisfying round of service. The Total cost was 1610/-.

Was impressed with the engine straight after it came out of service. It was a butter engine and now its melted butter (more smoother than before service)[drive][cheers]

Had a nice 6 hours long washing, waxing and polishing session on a very cold sunday morning here in bangalore. Very happy with the result . The swirls and scratches were almost null at the end.

Before the wax and polish.

After reading BrioLover's post on lepakshi (http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/voyage-junction/15275-day-trip-lepakshi-ap.html), We made up our mind to have a quick tour of the spot. I must thank briolover for the post as it turned out to be a beautiful experience.

We started at 530 from bangalore and reached there by 9 am. 117 kms from my place.

We went via a very good and spacious hanuman temple in chikka-ballapur. No pics. I missed it here :(

The hanging pillar which has a good story supporting it. It supports one complete hall of 70 pillars. you try to move this pillar out of its place and booom all the pillars will come down. British research in 1907 is a proof due to which other pillars have developed scratches.

Single Body and 3 headed sculpture of a cow. A cow standing, chewing on the grass and feeding the calf are the postures.

The Pleasure is all mine Ajay[:D].

The thing which I liked most about the place was lack of commercialization and absolute serene.

Also, the Roads/traffic are at its best where you could hardly spot 2-3 vehicle in 100mts range[clap].

The roads this time were much denser. Much more 2-3 vehicles in 100m. Holiday season may be [:)]

Mods I am re-posting the 4 photos that were not displayed above. kindly merge if possible

easy way out :)

Light check
1. Insert the key (Don't turn it ON yet).
2. Press and hold the trip meter reset key. (Do not release till step 6).
3. Turn the park light on.
4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
5. Turn the park light off, on, then off.
6. Release the trip meter reset key and press three times. (To be done within 3 secs)
7. Gauges do a full salute and all dash lights (except turn signals) do a "self-test."
8. After this, gauges reset and all lights remain ON.
9. Push the trip meter reset key to test again.
10. To end test, switch off the ignition.

The audio system diagnostics are done like this:-
1. Press 'Up' (also marked with return sign) , 'Down' (Marked with Play) and the green audio system Power Button simultaneously. The display changes to DIAG. You are now in Diagnostics mode.
From DIAG mode, press Next (ie Right of Vol knob) and the display changes to VSP 0. The number following VSP indicates the speed in km/h in digits.
From DIAG mode, if you press the previous key (ie left of volume knob), all indicators including all the captions on the display light up.
From DIAG, if you press MENU, display shows "SW OFF". Now, when you press each key on the audio system, the display shows the key that is pressed.
To turn off DIAG mode, use power button to turn OFF the audio system and then turn ot back on the normal way. Remember, music wont play when the system is in DIAG mode.
