i have bot lots of shyte from ebay and by gods grace they all turned out well. Ebay deals are awesome and cheaper 2, as long as u dont mess with the electricals,

i think ur good!
oh ok good to know that , while i am waiting for the car i am already thinking of accessories i can buy .

Magnum honda guys are the worst guys to bargain with , tbh,
Dealership exp ws ok, nothing grt 2 write home about. The good thing is dilipa (my sales guy from magnum, kanakapura) kept calling like a lot and kept me appraised. Kudos 2 him

apart from a cash disc of 5k, i got nothing :(

On a side note, completed 1 yr with briooooooooooooooo today :)
Yeah they did seem hard to bargain and the only ones who were giving me my choice of color quickly and its close to my home too so went with them. Congrats on the 1yr anniversary [:)]

Boot can carry two Medium sized suitcases or bags but nothing Big .

Rear Windows doesn't roll completely due to Safety feature which All Honda cars have , i have seen this feature in Ford cars , and child lock feature in rear is also good add on safety feature.

You can buy all Cleaning kits from Snapdeal or Ebay , there is no Custom Honda accessories available in after Market , Side Protectors and Bumper Protectors available in after market are not made keeping Honda Brio in mind , it might look little out of place , so be very careful regarding that .
That's interesting coldfire, i actually thought it could cause safety issues and was more a design limitation than a feature. Is it meant for kids to not put their heads out ?

Ok thanks for the info , i would prefer buying after market accessories from a local shop than ebay so that i could check whether it would be a correct fit or not.

Exactly what I meant. Things you can get for free never go waste. Try to get the maximum deal.

You can go for the basic accessories on ebay or any other online portal. The products sold are quite good. The genuine honda accessories are not available online or anywhere aftermarket. You will have to fetch them manually from the dealer

The boot space is more than good for a guitar or a departmental store drive (My friend had a guitar and fitted in the boot). It can carry 2-3 travel bags (those V.I.P ones). If you are 2 on board then you can roll down the rear seat. This is where I badly missed the Jazz magic seats.

How will the safety be affected if the rear window doesn't roll down completely? The switches are quite good if not the best. We have been using them nuts and bolts. Its been bearing us for so long[;)]

The accessory if ordered at the dealer place then they will be honda authorised, else make sure you get the genuine honda add-ons.
Thanks a lot Ajay, no wonder the Dealers have overpriced the Accessories , i would have preferred to buy them from after market but seems like Ebay is the best bet but need to be careful.

Thanks again Ajay, it was hard for me to visualize whether my Guitar would have fit in , so now i am at piece :) . Yeah Brio should have got 60:40 split seats given the already small boot [frustration] .

I was just thinking but i must be wrong that in an unfortunate event of a crash from the side(when window is rolled down) , they may crack ? But i guess it doesn't make sense and i think the glass wouldn't shatter the way they are designed

I do not buy it online for the same reason. Small fits like bumper guards and car care products can be ordered online. The heavier one's like DRL's, Armrest etc, will require proffesional fit and finish. And it might just play around the warranty too. If you go to a retail outlet, (J.C Nagar in Bangalore), and bargain a bit, you can actually get it cheaper. But all you need is patience to roam around different shops with different personalities as shopkeepers.[;)]

few gud places in JC road are car shringar and car addons.
They are generally ok, with their job

I got my DRLS installed at jc rd. All it needs a mount bracket point and a holder which will ensure the lites are connected to the battery.
My DRLS come on when i turn on my parking lites (not during igniton). I did this keep in mind the strain it will cause on the alternator

Quick 1 yr drive thread update:

Took my car on a drive to Coimbatore, since me and my cousins are all planning to vacation in Kerala.

A trip of 380 kms returned 21kmpl on the MID. I would assume the correct mileage figure is close to 20.5kmpl (considering the tankful 2 tankful method)

Apart from the awesome steering and cornering of brio , only thing i felt bad about was the horrible noise generated by the tyres when it sprays, gravel etc. Stock MRF ZTVT tyres are really rubbish.

Planning to get yokos or conti after another 20k. Thoughts??

Can you furnish the breakup of repair work carried out at Trent automobiles? How is your over all experience with the service centre [:)]
hey sorry dude, missed ur post

Did windscreen polishing (very important 4me), fixed the front LHS bumper teeth or whatever knocked out by a idiot pulsar guy, and some buffing.

Got 2 dents removed on the B pillar (hardly visible). I guess it was done by some biker idiots as they were extremely hard 2 find. They do paintless dent removal, which is awesome

no need to touchup paint or wtever, after doing PDR!!

I felt those terrible noise too on the sakleshpur ghats. It has more to do of the road condition than the goodyears my brio runs on. That sound is really irritating [frustration]

Nice to hear good mileage stats of another brio. I-vtec is a gem in mileage and refinement. Do post your stats here. http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...s/8289-fuel-efficiency-figures-your-cars.html

Yoko S drive and A drive both are considerably good. You can try the Michelin too.[:)]

Completely agree here. MRF's are a big NO-NO. i swapped with Mich @ 10k kms, and ever since i've been loving the drive. Its become super smooth and quieter.
Yoko's are great. Conti specs were same as MRF when i had checked. So i went in for mich. More details are there on my thread if you want inputs.

Recent trip to hometown showed 20.7kmpl on MID. Guess the cool climate is the reason for higher average. Or maybe Shell petrol [roll].

The entire trip from Mumbai to Bengalooru showed around 18kmpl on MID, with 100% AC & 90-120kmph speed on one of the best roads i've ever driven - the Asian Highway. [:D]

The michs are made of a softer rubber. aren't they? Thats the reason they take up the bumps so easily leaving no real feel of uncomfort inside the cabin. Don't you feel it being a soft rubber, the life shall be shorter than usual ? Just a doubt that I had for long [roll]

Neither do I have any complaints as such with the michs. They are a serious front runners. I wanted to get them swapped as soon as our Brio was out of the delivery bay. But it was this question that prevented me from doing so. Thats something I regret when the Brio is on those worst crater-full roads.

I just wanted to compare its life time when compared to yokos. I have heard many say the michs are lower on life than the normal tyres. No evidence though. Havent recorded the saying by them[lol]

Me too, but a was short of Vit-M when i took the delivery. But managed to swap them after i was tired of bumpy MRF's.

Anyhowz, leme keep a track on how much life they have. So far clocked around 7k kms. Dont use it much these days, with the kind of traffic in Bengalooru, i prefer my Wing Rider - Unicorn. Michs run for long distance nowadays. [;)]

Finished a trip around the valparai, nelliyampathy hill stations around Kerala/T.N. As expected, brio pulls effortless and even turning on AC does not lag/lug the engine.
+++Used engine braking a lot, since i did not want to tire the brake pads [;)]. MID returned 17.8 which is good considering there were 40 hair pin bends and roads were just about OK.

Has anybody got stuck in deep mud or quick sand with their brio??? how did u maneuver out during this situation?
I got stuck in some place near the nelliampathy hill station (in Kerala). Could not bck out inspite of revving hard and releasing clutch.

Finally asked some local guy to push the vehicle after i straitned the steering [sleep]

Gr8 FE's bro [clap]. Indeed Brio's drive is effortless and truely enjoyable.

I have been through flooded roads recently.
We were going to my friend's in-laws place on his wedding day and the heavens opened up. I had to drive through the water, with 1st gear and constant acceleration, and voila, there she went through water, which was upto half the radiator (which i go to know in the morning as there were debris of leaves and other grains stuck on the outside).

Its a gem of a car [:D]. Feel proud to own the lil Honda babe [;)]
