Chassi no. and VIN are same and yes you may get it in advance even before the full payment. How they can bill in your name, have you made the full payment without Pre registration inspection?

Thanks a lot Coldfire and Ajay for the quick replies and the warm welcome . Actually got a call from Dealer after posting this and apparently the car is already billed 1 week ahead of schedule so i may get it in close to 10 days. So already impressed by Honda here though keeping my fingers crossed . Had booked a Nissan Micra Active XVS before this but fate had other plans and after having read through various ownership reports and TDing the Brio again i felt this is the right car for me and i think its overall better than Micra(especially service) . I agree with both of you that this is a VFM hatch and i chose it over Grand I10 mainly because i just couldn't wait anymore and the HONDA brand appealed to me more than Hyundai anyday .

I had another small query , as dealer says the Car is Billed in Noida plant , can i now ask him for Engine,Chassis numbers and also possibly VIN?

Just keep following up with your sales executive and keep a track of the date your car will reach bangalore. once it reaches, call him up and ask for the VIN. have a nice PDI and then proceed for registration.

Quite impressed with response so far , i am dealing with Magnum Honda Kanakpura Rd . No i have just payed Booking amount.It is not billed in my name , Honda billed it for the Dealer is what i was told.

Full payment is to be done before registration of the vehicle. You can pay once you are satisfied with the vehicle condition after PDI

No Ajay, a new Consultant named Megha Chandra. Did you also buy it from Magnum? How do you find them in general ?

sorry I missed out kanakpura road in your post. my dealer was magnum honda, mekhri circle. It was quite a good experience. The booking and delivery process went on quite well

Have you checked up with other dealers in Bangalore before booking with MAGNUM. I would say all dealers are same, trying to con the customer. My first experience with magnum was bad. Whitefield HONDA has given me the best deal at first place. Only after negotiation I brought magnum to give better deal than the Whitefield HONDA. The complete drama was in the month of march. Finally took car with MAGNUM because of the better deal and nothing else.

So beware and always clear in everything with the dealer. Also whatever free accessories they have promised shall be taken in writing from them. In general they should offer you car cover, floor mats, Teflon polish, holy idol, key ring and perfume.

Oh yes sid. I forgot to mention this part
even if you dont contact any other dealer, make sure you let them know that you are being offered a better deal. This way you will just get a bit more of discounts/accessories from them. I had done this as my first ever bargain. It all started with the Brio

Thanks Manish and Ajay , i did contact Dakshin and Whitefield parallely over phone and both said it would take them 1 month atleast to get Red SMT whereas Magnum was saying they have it in stock and it was very close to my home too so went with them. Dakshin Honda did talk about free accessories along with the standard insurance free all dealers were saying so i used that to get 5k cash discount with Magnum apart from free Insurance. Rest is all std accessories for which they are charging 3k anyway . I am not the greatest at bargaining maybe but will try to see if i can extract some more as delivery should be around DIwali time. Like i said the previous car i booked made me so frustrated for me quick delivery(of my choice color) became more important than getting the best deal. But thanks i will try to ask them to squeeze in more accessories .

@Sid_Cruiser , Look out for Any Diwali Discounts which Honda might offers soon , So be watchful , Bargain Hard since you have option to buy from multiple Dealers , it took 3 days for my car to move from Noida to Goa , so Bangalore might take one more day .

So before you go for PDI , Bargain will all the Dealers for free Insurance and Cash discounts , and some accessories

Just for your idea, mine Ex MT bangalore on road price was 4.92 lakh including the bumper to bumper insurance, extended warranty and Road side assistance. I could get the following accessories from magnum plus 45000 cash discount:
• PU Seat covers
• Reverse parking sensor
• AUTOCOP remote locking
• Rear speakers
• Car cover
• Floor mat
• Puncture repair kit
• Complimentary Teflon polish
• Holy idol and HONDA key rings

Because of the above offer I went ahead with Ex MT instead of S MT .

I was offered PU Seat covers if i had selected Red Brio , but my Family said No , and i went with original choice of UT

I could not bargain more from them since , there is only one Honda Dealer for Goa so kinda of Monopoly .
