These shop people know very well how to trick us[frustration]. I purchased it online because we can do it our self.

Regarding DIY for flooring. I think you are talking about Vinyl flooring. I inquired about the same in the first service at magnum honda. The service executive told they don't do neither recommend. Don't know why. Maruti people provide that for 2-3K i guess.

But vinyl flooring requires removal of all the seats and after flooring re-assembling. I am also thinking of providing something below the car mats to protect the car floor, will update if get an idea.

Already my one DIY is pending, painting for scratch removal [;)] .

Not the normal vinyl mats. The noodle loop vinyls is what I am referring to. Something like 3M nomad mats. They cost 4500. But you can do it yourself with a roll of mat which will cost you not more than 1500 in any case, atleast for a brio. Something like these. Very easy to clean and maintain.

I bought them for 1100 dude [surprise]
I saw the 750 and 650 buck visors also. The shop somehow managed to convince me that those were not hard and he could easily bend them with hands. So i went ahead with the choice for 1100.

I plan to DIY on two things now. Any suggestions and advice will be appreciated.
1. Buy a noodle vinyl mat and floor it in the car as a car mat. Have heard they sell it at 75-80 rupees per s.ft. Can someone make an approximate S.ft for the brio mat area please ?
2.I doubt if this can be done for many reasons. INTEGRATING REAR SEAT HEADRESTS for a sole reason of rear seat passenger neck support comfort. I doubt it will look good but comfort is more important I guess [confused]
Can someone make an approximate S.ft for the brio mat area please- Why dont u use an existing rubber mat and measure its dimensions? I could do it myself but some idiot stole my rubber mats :(

NTEGRATING REAR SEAT HEADRESTS -Is this really possible?????????? i think u lll have to change whole seat for this but not sure..

i have headrest on driver and co-driver side(front passenger) side

Go to any 3M car care and ask them for a nomad mat demo. This mat is what they show with some additives to pull the dust, water and other stuff that falls on it. I doubt if there is really any need to add any additives as such and hence thinking of only the vinyl loop noodle mats. They can absorb anything that falls on them.

Check it here.

rubber mat leaves some area uncovered on the floor. I want it covered completely so that the original car flooring is not tampered. Thanks for the suggestion though. Will try it out that way if I couldnt cover the complete floor carpet.

Headrests will require soldering. this is what I was told. I doubt if I can do it myself. Thinking before giving it a try as it might just spoil the look too if I mess it up completely.

check post #118 here. http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/technical-zone/12550-honda-brio-problems-solutions-8.html

I got the visors from a shop called MM Car Decors in Sanjay Nagar. Next to 3M car care.

Sad to hear that. Surely and quite obvious you would have felt much worse. Have you made a plan to hand the baby over to 3M care to clean up the dents and scratches ? If not, better do it fast. Dents will spoil the look [frustration]

Where was this sharp left turn buddy ? On the highways or within city limits ?

Had no plans for this weekend. So thought I would finish the car flooring. Was planning a DIY for long. So here goes the Update.
Went to J.C Road and bought the vinyl loop mats at 85 per s.ft and I bought 12 s.ft. There were many varieties. Starting from 60/- to 125/-.The one that I bought cost me 1020/- in total.

Bought them home and measured the Brio's flooring dimensions. I took a newspaper, kept it on the floor and outlined it using a pen, cut the newspaper using the outlines as referance.Kept the papers on the mat and then I cut the mat according to the shape of the newspaper. And thats it. It was done. All that was required now was finishing it off well at the drivers end. I decided to cut off accelerator floor area and the fuel opener and boot opener area from the mat. The wastage was also less. All in all pretty much happy with the result. The already existing rubber mats will go on top of the flooring now. But I dont have the carpets under the front seats. I managed to cover them as well as I could. A proffessional could have done a better job may be ( under the front row seats)

OK guys. So here comes the first scratch on my Brio. Have no idea who did it. Was in a good condition till yesterday morning, I return back home after work on my 2 wheeler and find this huge deep scratch under the fog lamps.[cry]It has taken the paint with it. I am waiting to get my hands on that @@#!%^& who has done this. [anger]

Any solutions ??

I asked a local car accessory shop and he tells me to spray red paint on it. I will get the spray near to the place I stay. Its a shop called esteem automobiles. Any1 heard of it? Will that spraying idea work in the first place ?

Very sorry to hear this as a fellow Brio owner + Bangy resident :). Plenty of idiots/clowns in Bangalore, im sure u no that need no introduction. Not heard of esteem autos, but the best paint job/touch up will provided by sai colorium JP nagara 1st phase(outside H! of courz).

My suggestion would be to to wait for a few more scratches to appear(no, im not kidding) and then probably take a call. Honda can touch this up for a cost of 1,461 (1.3k +VAT).

U have lost some paint(not much), so buffing will remove 90 percent of this.

Meanwhile got insurance done @ magnum honda. Zero dep +honda assure policy at 12.2k, after bargaining 4 2hrs. See attached.

Good job at getting the price cut in the honda assure insurance. My friend had tried so hard but in vain. You have a good deal I must say. Peace of mind guaranteed with assure. [;)]

And this bumper paint job what I have been talking of, I have changed my plan to getting it replaced by corner bumper guards. I had these guards in my acessory list for some time now along with tinted glass. Its very helpful now in anyway as its the only scratch on the vehicle and will get covered with corner guards. I have ordered it at magnum honda too. Was quoted 1600/- for a set of 4. Must say I saw some other people getting the accesories fitted in their new amaze and the fit and finish at dealers place is much much better than after marker car decor shop guys.
