It is really hard to digest such foolish act from the people, due to which our cars take a hammering. I mean how can they be so careless. They are blind or something.

As far as healing them goes, these guys do it well.

-3M UB city or HSR or RMV
There is another shed in bommanahalli/hosur road which does a great job. I dont quite remember the name now. I think its called trend automobiles.

yep. This is it.

Thanks Ajay. I think you meant Trent AutoMotives near begur road.

They are the best tinkerers in bangalore. Can they do a good job in touching up the paint?

Thats pretty much similar scratches , honda quoted 2500 for half bumper painting
Areu kidding me? thats too expensive.
Lots of good workshops can do a awesome job at half the price.

I meant trend "automobiles" buddy. We have a TAI thread on it.

Another member in TAI, Manish, was quoted 2000 for half bumper paint and 4000 for full bumper. I dont know but I feel to call it a loot. My friend who owns a city and city cars go to service every 3 months and he gets everything done and fitted at Honda dealers place. On being asked "why?" by me, he said nobody can beat the fit and finish at the proffesional dealers place (his is whitefield honda). Its their product and they know exactly how to fix it. Makes sense in a way[surprise]

I wanted corner guards to cover the corner bumper scratch and the honda guy had quoted 1.6k and I got it done at an accessory shop for 400/-. I was actually amazed being chargd 1200 extra.I only had to make sure the fit was to my liking. But I must say the product at honda looked a much better quality. The one I got installed seems to be made of soft rubber. Not sure of its life[frustration]

Its not at bannerghatta road dude. Its at hosur road. I feel it should be somewhere near forum. Make sure you go to the right trend automobile and not trend automotive

Hi All,
This is my first post in TAI and i had some general queries about the Brio (i hope Ajay you don't mind me asking here) . I have booked a Red Brio SMT variant recently and been promised delivery by about Nov 5th. Before this i had booked some other car and waited for over 40 days and then cancelled it so i have sort of lost patience. Just want to know how accurate is the Delivery schedule given by Honda dealers in general for BRIO. Also i read somewhere that Honda have steadily increased the price of the Brio but i personally found it to be VFM as we also get Height adjust and Rear Defogger . But is the Brio still one of the best Petrol Hatches in the market at a good price? Another question in my head has been that , whenever i see the old review videos/posts of the BRIO , the ARAI mileage was 18.4KMPL , however now the company claims 19.4Kmpl. AFAIK the Engine and pretty much everything is the same , so how did the mileage go up? Is there a general lowering in quality of materials used in the newer Brios over the initial ones? Would be glad if any of you could throw some light on these.

@ Sid_Cruiser , Honda usually stick to the schedule but due to Heavy booking of Amaze and Limited Production capability in their current plant , some Brio variants have been slow or halted , but since you have booked SMT i don't think you will have any issues .

Regarding Brio ARAI mileage , Even i found 19.4Kmpl claims and also 18.4KMPL , so when i asked an executive at Honda about it , he showed me a Brochure which showed that VMT models due to additional weight of ABS and Air bags losses some FE figure and 19.4Kmpl is for mid (SMT and ExMT ) Variant , I had brought that Brochure home , if i find it i will scan it and put it up here

Brio is best VFM Petrol Hatch in its segment, i had checked Ritz and Swift and found them expensive and nothing more to offer , Wagon R is Good car but it is a 3 cylinder engine but you pay price for 4 cylinder Petrol hatch that's Suzuki's loot .

Micra is Good car but unreliable Service support from Nissan , Hyundai I10 is most overrated car in India , 1.2 Kappa variant costed a bomb then but now it has been withdrawn but i liked Grand i10 , and old Irde 2 1.1 engine in I10 is too old and Brio is a bigger car compared to it .

Hi Sid,
No issues at all speaking of your brio's here. Its a brio thread afterall.

Delivery accuracy- It was very accurate in my case atleast. the car had arrived in the bay 2 days in advance of the date of delivery. We had to stick to date decided as that date was presumed to be a "good day"

Yes Brio rates have gone up by 3000 if I am not wrong.

I personally will still feel its the best hatch. I do not regret its purchase even a small bit. But there are other better cars build wise. Engine performance, durability, reliability wise brio is the best, not the best build(comparing to the germans). The rear look again is subjective. The car I can think which comes close to it performance wise is the punto(subjective). anyhow build wise again I feel punto and polo lead ahead of brio. But yeah VFM, performance and safety features combined, then Brio comes ahead of the rest. It will love you back.

The ARAI figure is 19.4 kmpl. But I have touched 23kmpl thrice or 4 times on the highways. 15-16 in the cities. It all relies on how you drive the car. Sedate driving (with the ecolights, difficult but possible) will tend to give the best mileage.

There is no lower quality of materials used as such but there are some cost-cuttings for sure such as integrated headrests and bootspace compromised for rear cabin space.

Hope it helps.[:)]

Welcome to TAI and have a pleasant stay. Congrats on your Brio booking. You have made a good choice [:)]

Thanks a lot Coldfire and Ajay for the quick replies and the warm welcome . Actually got a call from Dealer after posting this and apparently the car is already billed 1 week ahead of schedule so i may get it in close to 10 days. So already impressed by Honda here though keeping my fingers crossed . Had booked a Nissan Micra Active XVS before this but fate had other plans and after having read through various ownership reports and TDing the Brio again i felt this is the right car for me and i think its overall better than Micra(especially service) . I agree with both of you that this is a VFM hatch and i chose it over Grand I10 mainly because i just couldn't wait anymore and the HONDA brand appealed to me more than Hyundai anyday .

I had another small query , as dealer says the Car is Billed in Noida plant , can i now ask him for Engine,Chassis numbers and also possibly VIN?

Once again thank both of you for the replies and i already feel nice being a part of TAI [:)]
