The biggest USP for me is the 1.6 DDIS engine, If that doesn't come in the Ciaz, then I am not even interested in this car. And second thing, I expect it to be cheaper than Honda city and Hyundai Verna. Because, with the 1.6 engine I have to sacrifice mileage for performance . Orelse Ford Fiesta is always my favorite. If this car has the performance and respectable handling then I may give up Ford for it, because this car comes with space and Maruti service & reliability. Lets see whether ciaz can match my requirements. Buy the way, that advertisement is ugly. It already turned me off!!! That cat thing makes it very feminish.

They have manufactured so many cars prior to launch ! Look at their confidence levels. They know that they are going to be sold like hot cakes.

These promotions are looking very disgusting. These promotions have doused all my excitement on this car.

Not sure if CIAZ comes with CVT, but looking forward to festival season to choose between Vento TSI facelift, City CVT, CIAZ CVT.

Although the Ciaz seems to be a fantastic overall package, the promotions are too playful and kiddish.
I expected a much more "Manly" ads for this SX4 replacement!
Hope Maruti is listening to us and make their ads better.

Some how I am disappointed with the cool cat Ad.They should have been more innovative than just changing the poles from Man are back with SX4 to Cool Cats.
It should be inclusive and not by Gender
:offtopic: :agree: Gender should not be a criteria for motto/promotion. I think Verito has something similar, right? and, guess what, me and my father found nothing wrong in it when we booked it, but when my mom came to know about width, we had to cancel the booking. We got the best car after that, is a different part. But neither was the seat height sufficient for her (in Verito)[lol]. Should've been something like "Smart people. Smart car. Smart engine." But the car itself looks fancy from the outside. Its only that the tailamps are almost an exact copy of Honda City. These guys have a very weak R&D and a very strong R&D (Research and Development, Rob and Duplicate respectively). I really liked the exteriors, but in particular, I don't much of like the DDiS engine. Could anyone explain what the abbreviation or whatever means?
Thanks!

Dual Digital Ignition System -Depending upon the model, DDiS consists of fixed / variable geometry turbocharger. Swift and Dzire features fixed geometry while in case of SX4 variable geometry turbocharger is on duty.

Fresh scoop pictures of CIAZ ,mid varaint from ACI.

I think they are wantedly showing off their mid-variants and not the top end variants to keep us guessing. And is 1.6 DDIS confirmed for Ciaz ? I have already driven my friend's SX4 Diesel, in the beginning, the power felt adequate but later as the car ages, the pick up has reduced. It wasn't as good as it was in the beginning. It felt very sluggish. It usually happens to all the vehicles when they age. I am very doubtful whether MSIL will include 1.6 in its top-end variant.

For your info, the Ciaz concept was released much before the City was launched. So in theory, Honda is the one who has copied the tail lamps!

Might be. :sorry: I didn't consider that possibility. Which means, Japanese always copy [shock]! No offence. In any case, somebody copied the tailamps from BMW and yet another guy copied it from them[frustration]. Honda City will be challenged by Suzuki, and most probably the Ciaz will win. VFM is the most vital factor for marketing in India. MSIL knows this very well.

Honestly I liked this car and it is best looking from Maruti and best possible replacement for SX4. I believe it will be in the list of top 10 selling car once we have monthly report out.
