I hope they don't spoil Ciaz's image by giving it a "sporty" look. It is not for people screaming past roads in car with multiple stripes & funny looking so-called spoilers in bright colors & stickers but for guys looking a comfortable and cool ride travelling with family and to work.
See, To be honest, the Ciaz is already well proportioned and doesn't need all this extra bulged out plastics. A lip spoiler could have been better. However, If you recall, when Honda launched the Civic here that car too looked nice in plain look but to further capture the market it was suitably modified. It depends on how the market reacts to a specific model.

The chrome on fog light at front and back looks really weird. The Indian version is more pleasing to look and more attractive.

Observe additional controls on the steering. May be Cruise control offered in the Chinese version.

Chinese version does have rear bench neck restraints adjustable, which I found missing in Indian version. In fact, the rear bench under thigh support and non-adjustable neck restraints could be deal breakers for me. I have not cancelled my booking of ZDi+ yet, but, will wait until its arrival.

Anyone who has booked Automatic version ? What's the waiting period quoted by the dealer ?
One of my close friend had booked ZXi AT during Pre Bookings time. Now he is without car and in full frustration, he has cancelled the booking. He has booked Vento TSI, which he is getting in about 15-20 days.
What's the position in other cities. My sense says that the demand for Ciaz has descended. Though I would like to see it being successful, but looking at the amount of cars I have seen on road and very few ownership reports. I get the feeling that something is not going right for Ciaz.

Considering the non-adjustable neck restraints, they have been introduced and have been inspired from the City. The City has non-adjustable neck restraints but believe me they are extremely comfortable. They work like soft pillows/cushions to dig you head into! Much more comfortable than the adjustable ones, I find them too hard and hurting on bad roads and a bit upright and when you have to sleep in the backseat, the pillows are just perfect! [:)]

I had booked ZXi AT on 08Oct in Pune - almost two months ago. Even though the dealer says that he has delivered 4-6 VXi AT cars, no news whatsoever for ZXi AT. This sucks. If these suckers were not ready to deliver then why the hell they made so much noise of pre-launch bookings.

Till date I have seen only 1 Ciaz in Pune - I travel on one of the busiest routes in Pune - Audh-Kothrud. Why no Ciaz on roads?

That's what I am thinking, I am not seeing it. In fact to spot one is a rare sight. I had mentioned in my earlier post that 17000 bookings are not that surprising. And look what has happened, they are unable to meet the demand. Does MS, also have production constraints ? Must be frustrating for those who had booked initially.

Could be the delivery based on allotment to each city. In Bangalore the case is different, I spot atleast a couple of Ciaz's in my daily commute of 25kms.
Yesterday I dis spot the White and Maroon, it does drawn its own respect, not flashy, something you could relate to Vento - Clean and Neat exterior design.

5232: The number of Ciaz's sold in November. I feel, this could be where the number for Ciaz monthly sales will settle.

Maruti Suzuki sells 110147 units in November 2014

For my ZDi+ booking, neither my dealer nor Maruti bothered to update me on expected delivery date till now [confused]. Most likely, I will cancel the booking in favor of Scala/Sunny.
ditto for me. [anger]But i used this opportunity for a couple of more TDs'.
+
Neat & simple design
Less turbo lag
good space
reasonable interiors

I drive a swift vdi right now but frankly ciaz do not feel a upgrade.. in terms of driving, handling, seating position, interiors. All is very marutish! As i drive self most of the times , may not get the opportunity of enjoying the extra rear space.

Sincerely thinking an upgrade to Duster AWD..specially with all the current discounting

I understand how frustrating it is to wait for a new car, but if so many want it, there would be some delay. I booked it (rather pre-booked it) on Sept 03, yet delivered only on November 12th. I also felt frustrating at getting no substantial info on prices, features, accessories.

But I would say as an owner of Ciaz ZXi-AT that the wait is worth it. Keep pushing dealer for faster delivery but if you like the car, wait for it.[:)]
