I think sunshades are the coolest idea. I am thinking of getting them
Yes I think sun shade are good proposition. With the banning of all type of sun films, this will help greatly to reduce the hotness inside the cabin. Good thought from Maruti to bring this as accessory

I Haven't seen single Ciaz on road, although I did see one in showroom. I am quite surprised by this, bring a Maruti product, anyone would have spotted it on road as soon as it launches. Not so here, is this because of
1. Lack of TD vehicles
2. Not enough demand / interest
3. Maruti isn't allotting more units to dealers.

Even some brands(Skoda, VW) are not ready to provide more cars to dealers when there is demand for them.
Rapid DSG & Vento DSG are generating lots of interest for prospective customers.

it is very much visible in metros. Large road presence. Have seen brown, black and red.

For all : Please suggest a good infotainment systen with large touchscreen (7 inches) to replace ZXi factory fitted entertainment head unit. Thanks.

Took a TD on saturday. This car is a giant leap for Maruti. Even the 1.3l diesel engine, is a big improvement compared to its applications in Tata, Fiat and even Maruti's Ertiga. Power delivery is linear and only under hard acceleration there is a bit of lag. Diesel's Price is comparable to City petrol, variant to variant. ANd if you are not a frequent highway user, you will find Ciaz cheaper to maintain, due to the 1 year/10000kms vs CIty's 6 months/10000kms.

One thing I have noticed, whoever has taken TD of Ciaz, they are fairly impressed with the engine performance. This engine is not for enthusiasts but looks like it does not feel underpowered, thanks to the engine tuning & use of lighter (but safe) material.

Even I have not seen a single Ciaz on road in Pune yet [surprise] but may be people would have got deliveries during Deepawali, so hope to see it sooner!

Hi All,

Did a third round of diesel TD yesterday with home ministry and a cousin, we were 4 people in the car and it pulled from standstill comfortably and reached to 80 without a fuss and deliver an average of around 20 kmpl with AC on. so iam tempted towards to diesel a bit.

Ready delivery are available in all variants but these are colour specific. otherwise the waiting period is from 1 month to 4 months depending on the variant and colour you may choose.

Also checked out new 2014 swift and a bit of changes are 60:40 split seat and improved mileage and new fog lamps lining in silver thats it.

But lets see what will happen. whether i will buy XUV W6 (new), used w8 or petrol city/ciaz
or maybe diesel city/ciaz.... lots of confusion at present.
Waiting confirmation on Hyundai ix25 launch also.

LTested ciaz zdi today.
The car looks smoking hot. lots of space everywhere.
the suspension is super soft. slightly bumpy like SUVs.
Never compare its driving dynamics with a fiesta. ford is THE driver's car.Ciaz drives good but neither sporty nor enthusiastic. the rear seat is the placeto be in.the competitors are not even closer.

Has Anyone booked Ciaz ? What's the current waiting period for Petrol & Diesel ? The dealers don't know anything about it. There is only a display car & a Test Drive car. No Petrol version for TD, only diesel.

People were not keen on Ciaz, they were just looking at other cars in the showrooms. Don't know why. Some prospective customers who saw Ciaz were looking at other cars.

Saw the car thoroughly with a friend who was looking for a C-Segment sedan, we both did like it. Though not as much as its rivals, but better then Sunny / Scala. Space inside is excellent and cabin feels plusher then other Maruti cars.

No TD was offered and the sales person didn't even bother about asking for TD. A lady came and she did explain features in various versions and explained price difference. Later on she asked which version do we want, after thorough discussion, friend decided to finalize ZXi version. As soon as we said ZXi, she said it'll take 6-7 months for ZXi version in any colour. Then she said you can get VXi in any colour in 2 months, I clearly said no other variants apart from ZXi. She collected contact details & we headed to other showrooms.

He is looking for Petrol car due to low running (7500 kms/year). He had liked Ciaz for its presence and good price, the Ciaz might well be out of question now.
After seeing Ciaz, we saw Verna, City, Linea. I have recommended him Honda City & Fiat Linea T-Jet.

Waiting period as mentioned by a dealer here, is Ciaz Petrol 4-6 weeks and diesel will be close to 2 months. And they already are overloaded with bookings, so when someone visit showroom and ask for TD, they simply say, "No TD car available as of now". Throughout the day, same dialogue. Well, their attitude is changed only towards Ciaz.

They already are loaded with bookings (including pre-bookings), thus this attitude. Let the initial euphoria settle down, and they will start chasing buyers again [;)]
Same happened to many cars. Duster & EcoSport enjoyed the same stint for almost a year, and there was no response from those arrogant dealers. Now they keep calling prospective buyers and offers lot of discounts and quick delivery.

I have recommended him Honda City & Fiat Linea T-Jet.
T-Jet, yes! IMO, this is the best enjoyable petrol engine in that segment combined with superb ride quality.
