Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has managed to clock a whopping 32,000 bookings within just one month of its launch.

That means long waiting periods.

Checked out Ertiga. But to cut long story short, this is a MPV meant for 4 adults & 2 kids only. It is not even 50% comparable with Innova. I expected something better but was dissapointed. If someone requires, I can upload the latest price list here.

what is the reason for stalling the production of top end model?

As per S.E as Maruti Dealer, the ABS is being manufactured by Bosch company in India and there is some internal problem happening at Bosch that's the reason delay in ZDI model. I am not sure how true this information or how well informed the lady was there who could even able to tell what are the differences between ZDI and VDI. I got the above information at 4PM IST- 16-MAY in Bangalore.

If this is the case how is VDi, LDi and ZXi being manufactured and readily available? All these variants also have ABS which are manufactured by Bosch. She is just lying!

sales rep told me that there are some supply issues with Airbags in zdi and hence delay in delivery..I guess there is no consistent reply

Hi,
As per my Dealer, there was some problem with some lot of ZDi which ae being recalled and rectified. Since bookings are large, ZDi booking is stopped for some time. for VDi the waiting is approx 2.5 months. Looks like similar to Innova launch, where more bookings were expected for G model and actual V model had more bookings, ZDi seems to have attracted more bookings due to about 65k diff between VDi and ZDi and more features at that cost..

What all the dealers and their executives are saying about Ertiga ZDi it totally wrong...that manufactures of ABS, Alloys, Airbags are delaying the delivery of the car.

The truth is something else, i myself had booked Zdi on 17th April and dealer promised me 3 months waiting period which has gone upto 9 months now, i got furious and wanted to enquire from the dealer to when they didn’t give me any satisfactory response I checked with couple of people whom I know in Maruti plant, and from them i came to know that Maruti has mistakenly kept the price of Zdi variant low compare to the additional features they are giving from Vdi and now after looking at the bookings they are in fix on how they can deliver it. At the moment ZDI manufacturing is totally stopped at the plants, and there is no guarantee that even after 9 months people will get their booked cars and even if they will get, consumers have to pay extra as Maruti is going to increase the ex showroom price of ZDi.

Lot of price difference in Bangalore & Delhi showroom prices for Maruti Ertiga(alone)

Is any one knowing "Why Lot of price difference in Bangalore & Delhi showroom prices for Maruti Ertiga (alone)?"

For all the cars from Hatchback to Sedan/MUV and others, the price difference between Delhi and Bangalore showrooms will vary max upto Rs. 10000/-. But i don't know why the price difference for Ertiga alone is around Rs. 27000/-

Please have a look, over the price difference of Ertiga in Bangalore and Delhi.

MARUTI ERTIGA ZDI BS IV:
In Delhi : Rs. 844999.80/-
In Bangalore : Rs. 872140.06/-

Lets see an Example- For Innova the price difference in Bangalore and Delhi is only around 10000, but for Ertiga it is around 27000 difference for Delhi and Bangalore.
