Re: Maruti Suzuki Ciaz: Technical Issues and Solutions

Hi carma' i used to face this issue of 2-3 attempts to close boot but the issue gone after 2nd service' i think its greasing, check if it goes away
Yes. I adjusted the bushes as suggested by member Pavi and sprayed some WD40 on the boot closing mechanism.
No issues now with boot closing.
Grease should be the permanent solution.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ciaz: Technical Issues and Solutions

Does the Ciaz petrol come with drive-by-wire system or cable driven system?
I read about pedaltune accelerator booster in another forum wherein the throttle response is modified by a device attached to the accelerator's connector resulting in crispier acceleration.
Was wondering if this could be done in Ciaz petrol.

Thats not the issue, i know in svhs engine stops and starts on pressing clutch BUT I AM FACING A DIFFERENT PROBLEM, engine starts automatically even without pressing clutch or brake or anything, it just starts auto after 2 or 3 mins of idle time in neutral gear, PLS HELP

Hello suryaputra please reply
This happens when the cabin temp varies from the set temp in a/c. The engine starts to maintain the cabin temp.

Yes you can do that. You need good skill to do that. It is possible.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ciaz: Technical Issues and Solutions

Hi Friends,
I just joined your CIAZ team last month with a VDi+ SHVS. Since the starting I faced an issue of abnormal noise (ubb ubb ubb or if you are able to imitate a heartbeat within your throat) from front suspension which is felt in slow speeds and on a rough road or when I am going on a speed breaker or just as I am getting down from it. Sorry but this is the only way I am able to express the abnormal sound. I got it checked at service station 3 times but they say that noise is normal. But for me it is first time I am experiencing this sound in so many years of riding cars. They got new 2 new CIAZ checked by me for the noise and to my
surprise both of them had the same noise.
I wanted to ask if anyone of you is or has faced this kind of noise/sound in your CIAZ, if yes, how it is addressed.

Once again sorry for being so creative in imitating the abnormal sound but believe me that's the way I am able to express it at this moment.[confused]
I purchased Ciaz zxi plus RS last Friday that is 9 September and within few days realised that there is unusual sound on rough roads that when the movement is slow. Showed yesterday to Vipul motors the dealer they say some suspension problem is there and have to leave the vehicle for a day. Don't know why such defects in brand new vehicles.

Hi, I have the car since 11th Aug and I am facing the same Issue since day 2. I have been trying to read different forums to see if there are people experiencing the same issue. The car makes a metallic noise on pot holes or even on some speed breakers. After visiting the service station for my first service have been told this is a common issue which I am not sure as have never experienced such noise in any amount of cards I have driven. If any one has any solution please let me know. [confused][confused]

It happens with me as well and I an sure happens with anyone who have to wait on a Red light for a long time. After looking at the Customer Manual it seems that it is the feature of the car and there are 6 different reasons the Engine would switch off automatically and restart automatically. It is mentioned on the service booklet under "Operating your Vehicle" Section 3.21. It describes all the reason for the car to Automatically stop / start and the reason it would not perform the same, for example if the driver seat belt is not clamped it will not work. Rest you can read the details in the manual

yes this is a common defect and i also faced it during my pre delivery inspection. during reporting one of their supervisor refused to that sound and when i negotiate with the 2nd supervisor he understand it and asked me that the problem is in BUSH of the suspension [cry] and there was no replacement at the spot [roll] so they told me to replace it within one week. rest all is fine [evil]

Very sad to hear that such manufacturing defects in premium segment cars, this shows the negligence in design, manufacturing and testing. MSIL customers will loses confidence on the company.

I faced same issue. MASS had to disassemble rear suspension and refit which solved the issue.

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ciaz: Technical Issues and Solutions

Take the issue up on MS facebook page by ppsting your issue there and you will get an immediate response. Just a small thing- make sure your toolkit is not making the sound in the first place

Re: Maruti Suzuki Ciaz: Technical Issues and Solutions

the dugg dugg sound problem from Front tyre was not solved after MASS changed the part of my car during my first service. Anyone who already tackled with this ? please help us to identify the wrong part so that we can change it from MASS.
