I know. Thats what i thought too when i went for the update. However, like th OP, i was also surprised with the way the car drove afterwards. Do note that they are updating the car through the OBD port. Its likely the update also changes the engine map or something

If its a dent, its caused by road stone hitting the door. Its quite common, just forget it

It is not a dent. It is a defect in paint. black paint dot.

Well, you could have denied delivery if you had checked it then. It can be painted over. I suggest to go to a smaller authorised workshop for that. However, if its not critical, just forget it. Think of it as a beauty spot

Guys, the inevitable has happened.

Some moron has made scratches on my white baleno on the entire right side from the back bumper to the front fender.

As its a white color the scratches don't seem to be that visible. though they can be seen in light when observed at an angle.

Unfortunately the pictures also don't show the scratches. attaching couple of pictures which i took through my mobile.

any idea how much they will charge to paint entire right side of the car ? the scratches can be felt to fingers which means paint also gone. i m worried as time passes it might form rust at these scratches. its more than 3 lines and so long right from back bumper to front fender.

From the pixtures the scratches dont seem very deep. How deep are they? Is the metal exposed? If not, polishing will fix it. White touchup pen is available with com paint. Get it & follow their instructions

The scratches are deep at some places and normal at some places. I can feel the scratch when i pass my finger on the scratch. I tried to remove the scratch using rubbing compound and the result is what in the pictures i posted earlier. The grey metal can b seen at some places. I feel like one layer of paint has gone.

Can you provide me with a link where i procure com paint.

Can someone give me leads where it will be available in Bangalore ?

Langka is better because it can be used with any paint.

It is on the engine hood and cannot be pushed from inside because hood is double layered in that region. I guess some Street cricketers had done it with a ball. Please suggest ways to fix it.

@Mr. Abhinav, you can try dry-ice or hot blower method, check youtube there are lot of videos on this.

When I got a similar dent on my Swift, I pushed it out with a big allen key that I was able to push in through a opening in the back panel which was at one side a little away from the actual dent. Alternatively, you can go to the ASC and they have a pulling machine to pull out such dents

Guys there is a definite improvement in the jerks after the update. It still has a tendancy to jerk but its a lot less violent. Still stiff though. Get your car updated at the earliest

I dont think we have been fully informed by maruti about the update.Is it really just an airbag software update or something more than that? I strongly feel there has been multiple issues updated in the name of one.

I have a query
had given the car to workshop for some denting and painting work n the front bumper which was replaced due to an accident.After bringing it from there i am experiencing a sound while releasing the brakes after applyn it.Also i found the 3 pedals to be fully moist and slippery as if something has been sprayed there.I am evrytym given a free wash interior and exterior.Do i have a reason to worry?

There is definitely a grunting sound when releasing the brakes. On my Swift, this sound used to come when applying brakes. It usually occurs when there is less pressure on the pads wherein the pads judder & pressure in the system pulses

The moist pedals are because the ASC floor is moist from washing & polish and from the fact that the floor is usually epoxy & mopped. So that should be normal. Usually whem my car goes to the ASC, i have sticky pedals for a couple of days, then everything becomes normal.

Can anybody tell the cost of fixing such dents by ASC, if you have got similar jobs done by them?
