Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

Take it to the ASS.
Speed Lock can be activated only via the G-scan available at ASS.
Don't if the newer models has cut-off this feature [roll]
Took it to ASS, sadly they couldnt activate it with the G-scan. I am really pissed. This feature is considered an important one to me.

I have raised a complaint! I really need this feature as i could say this was one of the main reasons for me to go for SX(O).

Hi,
I have bought new Fluidic Verna 1.6CRDi SX(O) AT in December 2013. The Speed sensing auto lock feature which the Hyundai brochure and website shows does not seem to work at when the car is in motion at >15Kmph. Took it to the Authorised Service Centre in Mumbai and they do not have a clue about this feature and are trying to avoid the embarrassment by saying that this feature is not available. Can You suggest ways to get this feature working and appropriate forum to raise this complaint?

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

Hello,
In the new AT version of 1.6 CRDi SX(O), the transmission level shifts without pressing the brake pedal. I feel it is a safety issue especially when the car is ON or in Motion and the lever shifts by mistake. Any clue you have tested this in your car ? Also, when the car is switched OFF the lever shifts without pressing the brake pedal. Do you know how to get this transmission lever locked so that it ony moves when the brake pedal is pressed. Shouldn't this be part of the standard features provided in a high end AT model?

Sagaryvarma! The thing is this feature does not exist in the vehicle, but they have sold it saying that this feature exists. Frankly speaking i have now raised a complaint against Hyundai and the dealer. Am just waiting for some response from their side. The sad part is this feature as far as i know cannot be activated.! Do all you can, through fb and everywhere. Raise your voice where possible. Because like you a few have been cheated( thats my feeling in regards to this case).

Regarding your transmission! Thats a definitel NO NO from myside, it should never do that. Looks like there is some probs with the transmission, GET IT CHECKED and better let them know now itself.

Hi Karma,
Encouraging to see your response. Is there a thread (link) or Hyundai contact that you can PM me to raise my voice regarding the speed sensing autolock feature and the transmission issues. As I have lost patience with my dealership and need an escalation point form HMIL.

Regards,
S

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

I got my Fluidic Verna - 1.6 VTVT SX(O), yesterday Dec 24 2013. I have been told that we have this option Speed Sensing Door lock - at about 15km/hr, the door locks itself. I have tried all speeds upto 80 km/hr. The door doesnt seem to autolock itself. I owned a Swift Zxi 2011 model, of which this feature worked when i passed 20km/hr speed.

Any Verna owners with the SX(O) package facing this issue?
I have the same complaint. Got my Verna SXO VTVT on 9th December and received two airbags and no auto door lock feature. and if new is to be believed now Hyundai is again providing these features after two months.

I bought the verna VTVT SX(O) in the month of October. I recieved the latest model with diamond cut alloys, 6 airbags, autolock ,etc and removal of middle headrest, etc. What was missing in mine was the projector headlamps. I am unable to understand if I am at loss or profit. So, my model does not belong to the previous version nor the latest one.
Would Hyundai address my problem if approached..?

Thanks,
Nayan

You are at profit since the model with projector headlamps misses 4 side airbags and speed sensing auto door lock.

Does your model have speed sensing door locks?

ya it does lock itself soon after moving the car ahead and u cannot open it also till you stop the car. But I like those projector headlamps and when I enquired in the showroom they said its 40k approx. :(

I didn't know that you can't open the doors while the car is moving.

I think airbags cost a lot, so would you have been happy if hyundai removed these costly airbags and put 40k lights in your model.

If you really want you can go for aftermarket HIDs with projector. Should cost you 20-30k.

At 40k, its way beyond just over priced. They could have added HIDs atleast here.

Ready-made projectors with 6000k hids, angel eyes and drl will cost 25k. The package consists of the whole headlamp case. Its plug and play. They remove the original set and insert the new ones. Expensive but clean modification.

Custom hids will cost 13k for adding projector and hid bulb/ballast set. The existing headlamp is disengaged, projector and hids is added and then glued back together. This is way cheaper but the projector alignment takes time to set right and the gluing is tricky. And this price does not include the drls and angel eyes.

The prices are in kolkata and a few months old, so its best to confirm the prices and the actual deal in your localities.

the 40k projectors your dealer told you are not auto headlamps they are just projectors with led without auto headlight function.

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

Back again with another issue in my verna
This time there was oil deposit on the air inlet pipe just at the beginning of the turbocharger.the oil comes via the blow by pipe.
Took the car to ASS they have cleaned the area and asked me to wait so that they could arrange the necessary spare
I hope the issue I limited to PCV valve alone [cry]
