Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

yeah I have the same thing happening to me, its normal. I did ask my service center about this and they said sir do not use the hand brake, keep in gear that's all. Use hand brakes for short durations not overnight, or else this will happen.

Diesel Owners please help
Off late I have been noticing oil in my air filter upon inspection my self the intake tube has lot of oil in it.
Is this common in diesel cars ??
Also the gear refuse to slot in at times when the car is stand still and I will have to pump the clutch 2 or 3 times to make it smooth
Don't know what's happening [cry]

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

Attention Verna owners
For those who have never bothered to open up the air filter assembly and see the condition of your air-filter do it soon and look for any signs of oil in it

I noticed oil n my intake so took the car to ASC and they said its turbo oil seals leaking They have take photographs and warranty has been approved
The entire turbocharger will be replaced

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

I cross checked the 4 paid service bill and to my horror they haven't done the transmission oil change

Took the car to a knowledgeable mech here and he told me he hard shift that occurs once car get heated up is due to malfunction master cylinder
He himself has changed the M.C for 2 verna's and ask me to get it replaced form ASC as mine was still under warranty

This would be the 2nd time I'm going to change the master cylinder
If this time they are trying to come up with some wired reason I'm surely going to teach these guys a lesson [anger]

I too face hard shift problems. Reported this in the first service as well. It was never solved. But I have noticed that if you rev a lil bit hard then normal and shift around 2.5k gears switch smoothly.

In my case the gear shift is smooth when the car is cold
Gears slot in perfectly. But once the engine reaches the operating temperature shifting to 1st 2nd and neutral gear are hard/impossible.But if I slot to 3rd gear the gear slot in perfectly

Hi,

Hyundai cars are not up to the mark. In fact Hyundai misleads its customers by overstating the fuel economy. They claim that Hyundai cars have a higher mileage than it actually does. I would never recommend anyone to trust Hyundai Motors. Click here to read more : Hyundai Overstated Fuel-Economy Claims - WSJ.com

I own fludic vera sx 1.6 sx vtvt. I want to buy a security alarm system for verna in order to get an alert if someone touches the car body. Which type of alarms are available for this purpose?

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

when fluidic verna crosses a speed braker why there is a "THUD" like sound as if car lower base gets in contact with the speedbraker? Why it happens at 10 km/hr+ but at very slow speed the thud happens but not so loud.

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

it is diesel,it went down from 21 to 13 that is worrisome figure.
How is the FE now.
I also faced the same issue after service.
Then I noticed that the engine had run for almost 2 hrs during the time the car was at service station though the KMs increase was only about 3-4 due to the trial drive.
This means engine has been idling and there will be soot deposit due to under loading.

I went on a drive and pushed the pedal to get high revs (4000 - 5000) at 3/4 gear for about 20 mins. Threafter I have found an increase in the FE being displayed as well as on the next fill up. ( Full tank to full tank)

I would totally agree with you.
Though I haven't driven the car for more than 300km's but this is something even I noticed. If the car is driven a little hard even 2.5k rpm will do but instead of going easy on car and shifting around or above 2k rpm the fuel economy seems to get higher and better.
I feel this car loves to be driven a little hard in right gears for best fuel economy.[lol]
