Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

I have complained them about noise and the Bumpy nature of the ride long back and when ever I went for service I reminded them about the problem

Finally they have accepted it However I am waiting to actually test the new setup [roll]
oh ok. so will this remove the noise + make the ride sturdy or just remove the noise ?

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

from what has happened to me. The noise never went even after changing the shocks and coils. Though the handling did change. The car felt better but only for sometime however the car has never scraped a speed breaker since then. This was post my last suspension change and after that i decided its not worth wasting my time complainign of suspension noise and waiting 5 hours to get it changed. Unless they have a major modification i wont, only thickness and height keeps increasing.

go to a service center nearby and ask them to fir rheostat in your car. it will cost you around 500 rupees and you can set dim the lights as per your needs

Verna Fludic 1.6 SX experience Good / Bad

I am driving Verna fluidic 1.6 SX since Feb 2012, Very smooth and comfortable car. After one year suddenly i felt that my clutch pad is getting hard. Few days backy I took it for long drive ( 600 KM to&Fro), by the time i reached destination I found reverse gear is not working. I shut down the car and try to engage reverse gear again and succeeded, then is started the engine again to reverse the car for parking.
I took car at nearest workshop. They told me that master cylinder is not working need to replace it ( cost @5000 INR) they replaced it but didn’t worked, then they replaced another cylinder ( same price), that too didn’t worked. By the time I also start feeling that other gears are also not working properly.
I got little angry as they were doing hit-and –trial with my care without knowing the fault. So I told the supervisor to put my car in original condition. They replaced only master cylinder and told me that “nothing will happen and I can drive it back to home” and I did so. Thanks they did it under warranty. I had to pay only for oil.

Next day I took my car to Hyundai service Centre for repair in Gurgaon. They told me that I am lucky as I am facing this problem after 35000 KM (approx..) running, they have seen many instances wherein same problem is reported by customers after 5000-6000 run in Verna fluidic. Any way as I have no choice but to get my car repaired with entire clutch assembly replaced including fly-wheel ( 35000 INR). Now it look good however I lost confidence on this car…

My two previous cars did more miles then new Verna fluidic. It was really shock to me that company is aware of the this fact/ short coming of the car and no action is initiated. No forum is raising noise in this defect. Diesel cars need higher maintenance is understandable but such a high cost repair is beyond my intelligence. Company is hiding that facts of this kind of high value wear and tear that too because of design and durability of machine. And it is not covered under warranty and insurance company is not paying for it.
I am not sure if any of the forum member is having similar kind of experience. Please share if you and similar kin of observation

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

hey sunil sorry to hear about your issues, i have been having clutch issues since my car was at 10,000 km i reported it many times, the issue being the release whenever changing gears it jerks second issue being a poping noise coming while releasing the clutch with the engine on, and many time the clutch releasing towards the top making driving in traffic a pain. The showroom accepted the issue we tested other petrol cars issue was found about the popping noise they complained to hyundai but no response. 10,000km more and i got my master cylinder changed free of cost did not pay for the oil either, i made them bleed my clutch but there was no oil coming out of the bleeder valve, they said its done i took the car for a trial and found no changes so i spoke to the warranty in charge after a bit he got another mechanic to bleed it again who said my master cylinder is gone, so they changed it but to no use. This way im sure to get my clutch plates damaged sooner. Most of my cars have lasted between 70-100 thousand kms before a clutch change. I dont know why on his car the clutch makes you feel it needs to replaced sooner. Another member on the forum changed his at 16,000 km.
By the way whats the deal of replacing the flywheel? i believe unless its damaged there is no need to.

i have asked the showroom to do a clutch overhaul but they keep telling me that unless hyundai doesn't acknowledge the issue and provide a solution there will be no benefit, i was even ready to pay and change the clutch assembly just to see if it will get sorted out. But then i felt it would be a waste if the same issue is present even after changing the assembly.
Btw i get grinding noises when changing gears at times. I wish hyundai acted like how maruti acted on the sx4 clutch issue, two years since the launch of the verna and many issues dont have a permanent solution

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

Hi Nickandre,
Thanks for shearing your experience. I am not the alone.
You asked about replacing flywheel, really speaking -before I got it changed I was also not ware. However the moment flywheel is replaced the grinding noise went off. You may try replacing it to get rid of grinding noise.

One question for the dear moderator-
Is there any website available where we can raise common question to manufacturer or put a product complaint officially? because I searched Hyundai web page and found no place to provide feed back.

Sorry to hear about your issue in Fluidic verna
The same thing happened to me in my verna too at 12Km
The ASC Repalced eth Master cylinder along with the entire clutch assembly
I was charged for the clutch assembly since they cannot allow warranty claim for clutch .Since I have been reporting them them hard clutch issue I had they later provided me an full amount refund which will be deducted during my periodic service
Now the odo reads 25K km and the same issue hasn't cropped up so far

Got the Rear Coil Spring Replaced under warranty
the now feels more planted and the rear bench is much more comfortable.
Cannot put a final verdict because I'm yet to take it on a Highway
Also got Both the keys replaced for warranty as the one of key that we use continuously was breaking apart form the transmitter so after repairing 2 times they have finally replaced the key

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

i own a March 2012 diesel verna, form the past 2 months i have been observing a problem with my hand brake. after i do a water wash and keep the hand brake applied for couple of hours it gets stuck. when i apply the gear and move further it make a THUD sound, also after the water wash and keeping the vehicle aside for some time and boarding it there is a strange sound like a spring being compressed. All these thing happen only after the car is washed and kept aside without driving. in normal dry conditions everything seems fine. Is this something weird that i should be worried of
