Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna
hey sunil sorry to hear about your issues, i have been having clutch issues since my car was at 10,000 km i reported it many times, the issue being the release whenever changing gears it jerks second issue being a poping noise coming while releasing the clutch with the engine on, and many time the clutch releasing towards the top making driving in traffic a pain. The showroom accepted the issue we tested other petrol cars issue was found about the popping noise they complained to hyundai but no response. 10,000km more and i got my master cylinder changed free of cost did not pay for the oil either, i made them bleed my clutch but there was no oil coming out of the bleeder valve, they said its done i took the car for a trial and found no changes so i spoke to the warranty in charge after a bit he got another mechanic to bleed it again who said my master cylinder is gone, so they changed it but to no use. This way im sure to get my clutch plates damaged sooner. Most of my cars have lasted between 70-100 thousand kms before a clutch change. I dont know why on his car the clutch makes you feel it needs to replaced sooner. Another member on the forum changed his at 16,000 km.
By the way whats the deal of replacing the flywheel? i believe unless its damaged there is no need to.
i have asked the showroom to do a clutch overhaul but they keep telling me that unless hyundai doesn't acknowledge the issue and provide a solution there will be no benefit, i was even ready to pay and change the clutch assembly just to see if it will get sorted out. But then i felt it would be a waste if the same issue is present even after changing the assembly.
Btw i get grinding noises when changing gears at times. I wish hyundai acted like how maruti acted on the sx4 clutch issue, two years since the launch of the verna and many issues dont have a permanent solution
