Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna
mate if we are having fe issues theres bound to be some sort of codes which are there but haven't triggered the check engine light. But removing the terminals before checking will erase it and they will pass the car as ok, but if they haven't done that at least they would be able to find out the issue.
the other day my car was in for clutch bleeding i was supervising them and the mechanic says he's feeling shy and makes a racket and goes on to another car i then went and sat in a cabin, i saw him reaching for the bleeder valve and then he goes in the car and pumps the clutch and then comes and reaches back there again. This is the kind of quality work that goes on.
yeah thats bad
you know most of the mechanics are dodgy to be honest. why don't you get the OBD scan tool for yourself
don't get the whole thing just get that obd socket and plug that in your laptop to read the codes much easier that way. because I can't really trust mechanics either.
I always goto mechanic and see what is he doing. can't afford to lose a part of my car. I have everything aftermarket and cost is high. Say Coilpacks , if takes them and puts stock ones on it will cost him abt 60 bucks.. but mines are for 500 dollars.
A lot of indian mechanics here are like that , they tell you something and do something else. Thats the reason I don't go to them.
I'll suggest you to get the OBD scan tool and check for errors yourself.
I have ordered mine Consult Wire for Nissan , that will help me to set my car's piggy back
