Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

There was no call from the service center till now. So finally i called them to know what they had done. A my servicer adviser told me they shooting a video of the car from inside and out side to know from where the noise i coming [frustration]. I don't understand why cant they just change the rear suspensions! Do they have to do all the experiments with my car only !!?!
About the FE they said they removes some carbon deposit. There isnt any other prob with the engine according to service adviser. And i got the auto door locks activated ( as my verna is SX and not SX(o))

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

your's is the first car to have this problem so i think they will do a thorough checkup. if they take more than 2-3 days ask them to give a free car wash as well [:D] say i have to use my car and i can't delay any longer.

and its a diesel. lots of carbon. and how much that costed you , the auto door locks ?

i won't install them because i can't handle all the "khar khar" ( noise of getting the doors locked ) while driving. i do it as soon as i enter the car.

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

either their stupid or plain illiterate theres not much difference, they will be trained to handle these issues. only serious issues but if they found an issue in your chassis then they would take or if they found a defect in a batch they will forward to hyundai

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

@allhyundaicars, i guess they will wash the car as a good will gesture because i intentionally gave them the car very dirty
The auto door lock is done free of cost, it is simply activated using the G scan . I came to know about this from nickandre's ownership thread.
@nick, i just hope they rectify the problem. may be the service center where i gave for servicing is encountering this for the 1st time.

yeah i hope so to keep us updated on the findings and yes i dont think a new car will suffer from issues related to carbon deposists. The issue as per me is with most vernas but thess guys dont accept it and neither want to put it up with hyundai, they simply connect gscan see all parameters see any codes but before checking any codes they remove the battery terminals which erases any codes.

Well half of the problems are solved by Disconnecting the battery terminal and removing all the errors.

however it is common practise, if you frequently getting problems then they are worth looking at without erasing.

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

mate if we are having fe issues theres bound to be some sort of codes which are there but haven't triggered the check engine light. But removing the terminals before checking will erase it and they will pass the car as ok, but if they haven't done that at least they would be able to find out the issue.

the other day my car was in for clutch bleeding i was supervising them and the mechanic says he's feeling shy and makes a racket and goes on to another car i then went and sat in a cabin, i saw him reaching for the bleeder valve and then he goes in the car and pumps the clutch and then comes and reaches back there again. This is the kind of quality work that goes on.

yeah thats bad
you know most of the mechanics are dodgy to be honest. why don't you get the OBD scan tool for yourself
don't get the whole thing just get that obd socket and plug that in your laptop to read the codes much easier that way. because I can't really trust mechanics either.
I always goto mechanic and see what is he doing. can't afford to lose a part of my car. I have everything aftermarket and cost is high. Say Coilpacks , if takes them and puts stock ones on it will cost him abt 60 bucks.. but mines are for 500 dollars.

A lot of indian mechanics here are like that , they tell you something and do something else. Thats the reason I don't go to them.

I'll suggest you to get the OBD scan tool and check for errors yourself.

I have ordered mine Consult Wire for Nissan , that will help me to set my car's piggy back

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

After second service, the suspension noise what you guys mentioned have disappeared from my car. Again retorqued the suspension. But on bad roads, lot of tyre noise comes(dont know whether it is tyre noise or suspension noise).

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

i don't know why hyundai always retorque the bolts? i think if thats the case every 2000-3000km we will need to retorque them. Can you describe the noise you get sandy will help us determine tire or suspension noise.

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

Oh its really tough to describe that sound. It is not like that thud thud as we have before. When car moves on smooth roads there is absolutely no sound. But when it rides on rough roads, rubbing type sound comes. I hope ypu understands.

Re: Life with the All New Hyundai Verna

@sandy_fluidic, even i have the same prob.
went to the service center today. my car was dirtier than i had imagined! the whole interior was full of dust. the exterior looked even worst.
with a heavy heart i asked whether they had replaced the struts. And i was answered that the noise was coming from the rear axle. The service center people are clueless of what to do. They are just waiting for a solution from hyundai. I was told my car was tested by hyundai engineers . And they havent found a solution yet [frustration].
PS: i was told the instrument they use for finding error codes work only for petrol engines. The mechanic told me there is simply nothing he can do about the engine. He can only clean the filters.
