anant i drove a diesel verna the same one when it was new and just recently when its got 20k km on the odo and the clutch is equally light as my petrol verna, hydraulic clutches are not directly connected so you wont feel it hard, check the springs and etc at the pedal end first. i thinks its the thing with most vernas at the start they give good fe then later it drops. i uploaded service manuals on the previous page it has troubleshooting stuf please do check it out as well

You cleared my many technical doubts. Where did you get it ?
I need all sections of manual, help me to get it.

I own 1.6 crdi sx and 7500 kms done. I have no issues except soft-suspension. Now i am getting 17 km/l in city and 22.4 km/l in highway 90 km/h (20.2 km/l in 110 km/h)

Just returned from the Service center. About the Fe issue about my diesel verna, the service adviser said a diesel engine giving low Fe is impossible! (he wanted to mean i was wrong with the complaint). but then he said he will check the car thoroughly.
about the suspension noise, he himself was surprised to see that under medium load, my car's both rear wheels touch the top portion of the mud guard. Which means my car's suspension has become hell lot soft!
but i think thats not the only problem the makes squeaking noise.
He took out a cam and clicked a pic of it ( may be to send the pic to Hyundai) .
He assured me that any faulty part will be changed under warranty.
PS: I dont know what came into his mind , but while test driving my car all of a sudden he looked at a Maruti 800 and said '' thats called a CAR''. maybe sarcastically.

so what did they do for the fe ? did they check ?

and do you get thud noise from the front wheels as well ? this is really a serious issue. tyres touching the top part

nick said in his thread that new suspensions have arrived and he may change his on the 18th. not sure though.

oh ok. do you get the thud noise , front tyre touching the mud guard ?

this will even cause abnormal wear and tear of the tyres as well

i have had two instances when driving at 60 with 4 passengers and a small bump on the highway came and the tires touched the body as i felt some remittances as well as rubbing noise as if someone applied the brakes. Yes I'm getting the springs changed on the 18th since my warranty in charge guy is going for a warranty meet in hyundais h/o in delhi.

also we spotted a defect in all petrol vernas manual gear box it started as i found a khat noise as i real ease the clutch to the point where the clutch starts to engage, here it was assumed that the pressure plate while putting the clutch gently against the flywheel is rather hitting it on the flywheel it was decided to open my transmission and check but before that we checked 4-5 petrol vernas and 2 crdis the noise was only found in petrol ones both new an old and its currently being notified to hyundai since my centre says it may cause issues and its not right to make noises.

@allhyundai cars, no i dont get the thud noise and my front tyres dont touch the mud guard . front suspensions are fine. I called the SA thrice and each time he told me they are checking the problem. the car is still with them.
@nick, i get sqeaking noise like 'chuik chuik''. IMO tyre touching the mud guard is not the prob. But thats what i was told by service people.

chuik chuik i related to some bushing like when you go over a speed breaker r bump you get it or when some one sits in it. I have that but its very less audible so i let go of it no use destroying it more by opening everything

yes, the noise comes when going over bumps and speed breakers. And it comes very frequently when going on uneven roads with 2 people in the back seat. The noise is very much audible in my car. It sounds as if the spring is being compressed to its maximum.

have them overhaul it and see then replace cause these nuts default procedure for any suspension issue is retorque nut bolts everytime.

Got a call from service center, they told me GC of my car is lesser than regular vernas. Some people from hyundai are coming to check my car tomorrow. He told me they are changing the rear struts. (i have no clue what a strut is) .

GC is ground clearance If i am not wrong.
