Very unfortunate event:
Was driving down under a metro bridge over this weekend, few folks were painting the side of the bridge, i crossed it without paying much attention. Came back home and saw the bonet, windshield with white paint drops. Looks awful. Pictures attached.
Please suggest how can i remove them? Thanks.

I had the same issue in my flat when they were repainting! Do not worry, i am sure u can remove those paint marks, if it was immediate, i removed some of the paint with my bare hands.

There is one thing i would ask you to buy in the open market, 3M genereal purpouse adhesive cleaner! It does the magic in the 3m centre, am trying to get the hands on it. You may try that. But there are gurus here who could suggest way more methods.! Just wait, you will definitely get it off with their help!

Very unfortunate and bad thing happened, if you noticed it right then this could easily removed but as the bonnet and engine area get hotter it dries quickly. I think it’s a oil paint, those paints used to paint house grills and these are hard to remove if its dried. And I don’t clearly know which one will work as I’ve never experienced this.

Follow these steps one by one:
# try Waxpol liquid polish if you get, it hardly cost Rs, 90. Apply it on the effected area wait a little and the rub it by little hard. See if this works. It’s a stuff you can apply it without any worries.

# If waxpol don’t work then try Colin glass cleaner, on a recent other stuff cleaning one worker told me this removed oil paints too. But try this at one spots and see if its works. If this works then apply all over but very gently.

# If the oil paint gets really hard after drying then above methods wont work, thinner could easily remove these on a single apply also the top coat is so hard thinner wont damage it but it require a professional touch and very carefully. It will require an ear buds and dip it into thinner and slowly remove these paint dots one by one. If you have skills you can go for it but I don’t recommend this as you may messed up.

(make sure there have many type of thinners, thinners to liquid paints, nail polish removers, spirits > all these are aggressive compound and these could damage paints if improperly applied. But there have a thinner called finishing solvents (http://com-paint.com/Product_Detail...ductid=15&catid=15&model=&color=&qty=1&ccode= ) this is not very aggressive and perfect for this job. If you have this or you can get this by applying this carefully it will remove this all without damaging the paint. I’ve used this in my car and it works fine. But you may need to do little polish after this.

# Lastly the easy method try hand polishing the whole effected area by a polishing compound, it may take time but this will work. Or take your car to any 3M care and by little polishing these all will be gone.

AN Unfortunate event:

I can only suggest you one thing and that is to take your vehicle asap to 3M car care centre and get them removed professionally.

Its on Golf Course Road near Jalsa Bar opposite Arjun Marg Phase 1 gate.

This is weather proof paint and it's oil based; very hard and once it dries it's hard to remove. They use thinner to remove this paint but you can't use thinner on your car, nor use coloin or rubbing, it may damage the paint. Best is to go to 3M car care station.

What is the reason that rear windows can not be lowered completely?
Because of the car design, the space of the rear door edge. The window glass goes straight down, there have no space to take the full window inside the door and this cannot be solve anyway.

Majority of the sedans have this issue. However the ones which have rear quarter glass / split glass , their windows can go down fully.
Yes like Honda City, but the issue is same, less room. I don’t like that too as its damages the coupe looks like Verna. Single window glass is better for me, it gives a clear outside view, no black pillar for the split window.

A case file, i would definitely let you know soumen.sam. For now i am trying to gather the info given by the sales person, the pamphlets and stuff to file a consumer court case. I myself do not know the procedure but am pretty sure i will be filing one next week.
I do have a secret weapon against the dealer which i will unleash when its needed and when the case goes to the consumer court. [;)] Will definitely let you guys know.

Also guys what do you think about
Osram Cool Blue Intense 9005CBI HB3 12V 60W Twin Pack of Headlight Bulbs: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike

I am looking for a tint of white(not pure yellow) since i personally feel it would go well along with the LED in the projector setup. Any light shed by you guys would be really helpful.

I was browsing for a lot of things, its very bad that we cannot find anything properly here in any website, no one ever gives any piece of correct info. Was looking into Philips Diamond and Crystal vision ultra, Osram Night breaker unlimited, could not find a single place where they sell it online too.[frustration]

Any info on any webiste that sells these products here would be much appreciated.

@Dbarma - how do you find the Osram Night breaker PLus? are they helpful. Let us know.

The below pic is with the default company fitted bulbs.! It appears to be white in this photo because of the white led strip. Basically its pure yellow type.
@Karma I have a doubt that the headlight included LED does not provides DRL function?? It act as parking lights means??

It is not a DRL ramdas! Its a parking light, meaning say in swift, you have 2 small bulbs on the headlight, just to show that your lights are turned on?

Am not sure whether can we make it as a DRL, it could be possible, but what they have given is a simple light which is LED in this case acting as a parking light( your brake lights also gets turned on - to be precise). Hope this helps!
